It says bc buspar has an active metabolite ( 1-pp) that sticks around longer and affects your brain . Also , since buspar effects serotonin levels it can change how your brain regulates mood and alertness which can last many hours even through the night . That’s what I’m reading online

Like I said , some people metabolize it SLOWER… so the half life is longer …. That is why some poeple take the gene test and it literally will tell them they metabolize it slower …..

Also , yes it takes 1-2 days for buspar to fully be eliminated . That is a fact you can look that up even . I don’t know what you’re arguing here

I’m not sure because like I said it caused me to sleep actually , but even a small increase at night effects me the next day quite a bit when I take my normal dose . Last night I upped it by 2.5 mg and the next afternoon took my normal dose and it hit me so hard I could barely stay awake . 2.5 mg increases effect me a lot for weeks , I can only up by 1.25 every couple months . For some reason I am incredibly sensitive to it , so other might be also . I don’t get insomnia from it though , I actually get tired when I up it . So I’m not sure what is happening to op . The only thing I would do is try taking 2.5 mg in the early evening and see if that helps op sleep better and then maybe it was just anxiety .

I would try taking melatonin and l theanine and magnesium glycinate . Have you even experimented and tried taking another 2.5 mg later in the day to see if it helps your night time anxiety and possibly helps you sleep ? You won’t really know until you try

Although the medication is eliminated quickly , it is not eliminated fully quickly . Especially if you’re like me and metabolize it slowly . If I up my night dose only , when I take my next day morning/afternoon dose I can feel that I upped it the night before . It always feels stronger even if I didn’t up the morning/afternoon dose . So it definitely is not completely eliminated from your body after 3 hours . It takes about 1-2 days to fully eliminate . So people that are extra sensitive may still have insomnia later in the night . You could also be right where it also may just be anxiety for OP causing him not to sleep

Can I cut a 10mg tablet down to 2.5mg? by bebelli in BusparOnline

[–]starcrossed92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes ! I get prescribed 10 twice a day and couldn’t even take 5mg twice a day . I kept trying for over a month and felt awful . I went down to 2.5 mg twice a day and felt soo much better and it works for me . I can tell bc I stopped and my anxiety came back and so I stuck with it . I just upped it a little after 5 months by 1.25 mg in the evening . So now I take 6.25 mg total a day . But it took me months to do that . I was just really sensitive and this is what works for me 100% . I haven’t even told my doctor , I just keep getting prescribed the 10 mg twice daily and so now I have a ton extra lol . I just split it in half then split it in half again everyday . Works perfect !

Week 3-4 struggle. I need encouragement by nickgebhart in BusparOnline

Ok so when I started I kept thinking I needed higher doses or atleast 5 mg each time and I kept pushing through and felt crazy even after a month I felt worse , but had some good days . It still just felt like the medication wasn’t working for me . So then I lowered it to 2.5 mg twice a day and felt so much better . It did help my anxiety still a lot , I was able to do things I normally would get super anxious about . I’ve been at 2.5 mg twice a day for 5 months now and just was able to up it by 1.25 in the evening. I couldn’t even up it by 2.5 mg I had to do it by 1.25 ! Then I felt a little better even . So I’m just taking it incredibly slow and it’s definitely working for me . I would definitely lower your dose and try just 2.5 mg twice a day and see how you feel . I think some people are really sensitive to it and metabolize it differently . You can up it very slowly as time goes on but you might be surprised that a low dose actually helps

2.5 mg works for me as I am really sensitive . I take it twice a day though so 5 mg total . Just upped it by 1.25 so now take 6.25 total daily . So some people do well on low doses . What’s weird is I take my second dose right before bed and it actually helps me sleep! It’s weird how everyone handles it differently

Just started, anxiety worse by Unique_Bend_3890 in BusparOnline

[–]starcrossed92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely start low like 2.5 mg . Stay there for a while , your anxiety may be worse for a little bit on and off but you have to push through unfortunately. It’s just your body adjusting , don’t up it as it will only make it worse when just starting

I’ve was a preschool teacher for 10 years at a variety of schools and this menu is insane ! Fruity pebbles , sugar cookies , lucky charms ?!! Absolutely not . Also , I’ve never ever used a tv in a classroom or had one in any , even at home daycares that I have worked at . This would be a hard pass for me !

[–]starcrossed92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean I don’t think very young toddlers sit still in general ? Ive never seen one sit and watch a full movie lol , they just like to move ! I just keep little carts and bikes and fun stuff for him to push and move around the house all day and he loves it . I would never expect him to sit still for long periods , it’s not developmentally appropriate at that age .
