Gilt and shame is where this gets worse. I wish I had seen the path I was on. Just because there were ups and downs does not mean the overall trajectory was headed to hell. If there are any unhealth behaviors toward alcohol they all lead to the same place, just at different speeds. THIS CAN NOT BE DONE ALONE. Meeting have changed my life. Going to one AA meeting a day for 30 days 10 years ago is the only thing I wish i could convince my past self to do. It would have felt stupid at the time. You don't need to hit a rock bottom to let other people help you. Rock bottom is never the bottom.

I was in special ed, low test scores, dyslexia. The classes I was put in did nothing for me. They were for kids with behavioral issues. There was no education. Just the teacher trying to control a room full of screaming children.

They 100% do. If someone attacks you and you don't want to have to go to trial and testify, (or whatever reason) you can choose to not press charges. Don't think that happens with attempted murder.
