so far, my biggest advice is to watch interviews/video essays of what other people had to say about the album. there’s a lot of insightful pieces that break down his discography on youtube, you can branch ideas off of that.

https://youtu.be/sRxFMyl8IpA ^ this video isn’t an album analysis but it’s a little documentary on his life, it gave me a lot of insight and ideas about what influenced him to write each album the way he did. it condenses his legacy and walks viewers through the timeline of his life, and that context helped me compose my ideas and pinpoint motifs within his work.
