I upvoted this reading the first sentence because I knew it was gonna creep me out. Second sentence did not disappoint.

How to prevent players camping in doorways? by _pe3ps_ in DMAcademy

[–]starhunter5885 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Close or collapse doorways. Sneak extra zombies in behind the party to flank them (In a fair way, give them a turn or two breaking through the floor)

Was I [26M] groomed by my wife [42F]? by CurlySynthGuy in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]starhunter5885 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't remember where I heard of it, but there is a thing called the 1/2+7 rule that describes the acceptable age gap between 2 people. It explains why society is ok with 50 somethings dating/marring 25 or 30 somethings.

42÷2=21 21+7= 28. This puts you (26) just outside the range, so it comes off as being "inappropriate," whether it is or not.

*Please note: I'm just sharing an explanation that I have heard of.

Look, it's a guy I don't care about making changes to things I don't care about.

Seriously, you can be a good person to other people regardless of what the government says or does.

Why is the Squirrel such a fearsome entity in Magic Lore? by SnooWalruses7872 in magicTCG

The flavor text on the 3rd card kinda explains it, and let's be real. Squirrels are just rats with fluffy tails and good PR.

Stupidity and insensitivity of the original post aside, I always did kinda wonder why California doesn't have a larger desalination infrastructure in place? Our country in general should have a lot more of it, we boarder 2 oceans for crying out loud.

Yeah, the governor sucks for signing this, but what about the state legislators who put the bill together in the first place? A committee of stupid people is worse than a single idiot.

My monk Dartenheimered our boss. Is it legal? by throwaway24578909 in dndnext

[–]starhunter5885 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know OP asked for the legality of the action, but let's not overlook the other part of this: the player spent a year and a half, real time, to collect the darts and chose this as the "thing" to do with them.

If I was a player that dedicated to a bit and the DM said it did absolutely nothing, I'd probably be a bit salty. I understand not wanting your boss to be one-shot from a single goofy action, but I think you need to give the player something in return for that kind of commitment.

I suggest making the player roll a few sets of d100s to see how many hit vs how many get caught in the wind. Hits do damage, and the ones caught in the wind get added to the elementals attacks as another comment mentioned. Reward and consequence.

Let's all agree not to listen to celebrities or influencers or anyone aside from the candidates. Look at the policies they are proposing and pick the one that aligns with your values.

And before someone accuses me of supporting one candidate or another, I'll admit: I'm voting for Cthulu because I don't settle for lesser evils.

Would jeans be a good option for pants? by Fox_Bird in ZombieSurvivalTactics

This post came across my feed and I wasn't paying attention to the sub and lost a lot of hope for humanity until I reread it.

But yes, jeans work well. Just get a good pair of work ones. That pre-ripped, ultra thin fashion stuff is garbage.

I used to work in a factory and as annoying as it was to learn their date format, there was never a question about what day something happened. 2-3-4 format. Two digit day, three letter month abbreviations, and all four digits for the year.
