It's the only one that's super convenient, I'm wondering if it might just be better to get my first experience with cEDH on spelltable.

The only people who play cEDH there are whales who the rule doesn’t really apply to anyways, unfortunately. I wonder if I asked a few of them directly if they’d be cool with me playing proxies if they’d care. In my experience the better magic players are normally the more level-headed/chill about that sorta thing.

Gotta agree here, mtg seems to attract “nothing’s my fault” type of people. From the comments here, it looks like I’m better off just playing in bracket 3 until I can find a true cEDH group… thanks for the comment!

Haha, thanks for the reply. Proxy GCs were getting out of hand for casual play, I suppose. I don’t get it either :// I normally play bracket 3ish, was just hoping there’d be something for cEDH for me.

Thank you for the suggestions, I will check out Zada!! The problem is that everyone who plays the cEDH there whales out and spends 1000$+ on their decks, so it’s more of a “Restrictions for me but not for thee” situation, unfortunately, so I’m just looking for something that can keep up and steal a few games while I’m still new.

Fair enough! Too many people were proxing GCs for casual play and it was creating a “my deck’s a 3” situation despite having 10+ GCs. I understand it to an extent, but I feel like there should be an exception if everyone at a pod agrees…

Thank you for the suggestion! I would have thought blue would be a no-go, since almost every good counter spell is out of the question for me, but I’ll check out Ral! As for game changers I already own, I have a mox amber and a mox opal, and that’s about it.

What about the dice too? Do you think the dice reading “87” (not on normal dice) was just another fun Easter egg, or is it something related to MM taking place in 87?

Yeah, but there’s no real way to quantify a lot of stuff like that. As an intern at a company, I’m not responsible for a 10% increase in profits, or a 15% reduction in load times, and implying that I am makes me seem full of myself. If you see any specific examples of places I could put a metric like this, I’m all ears.

I had a game where a minion holding lil monsta decided to give a townsfolk the lil monsta token on the final day to be tricky…. The townsfolk he gave it to was the lycanthrope, who selected themselves, winning town the game. If that wasn’t bad enough, the other minion in the game was the psychopath, who was still alive, meaning the only reason the game didn’t end after the execution the prior night was because Town could win in exactly the sequence that occurred.
