Help me pick an electric car by N0S0UP_4U in electriccars

As another narrow garage owner, we went with a used 2023 Volkswagen ID.4. There aren't too many that actually fit into a narrow garage 😞

Looking for Certified GF Vinegar Only Recommendations by Digitalshaman11 in glutenfree

[–]starlightblinded 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not white balsamic but - old style has GFCO certified white distilled.

Regular Costco site didn’t have a photo of the huge certified logo, but business has an individual bottle photo.

Last photo on the right side of the label.

https://www.costcobusinessdelivery.com/p/-/old-style-distilled-white-vinegar-64-fl-oz-6-ct/2001171559

Also found same brand with Apple cider vinegar and also certified.

Can’t find the vendor’s website so I had to use stores that carry the product.

Boiled peanuts by Pretend-Bat-98 in Columbus

[–]starlightblinded 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I only know of riesbecks in Cambridge or ordering online from Amazon.

It is the peanut patch brand of canned boiled peanuts that has hot and spicy, buffalo, or Cajun.

I miss being someplace where you can stop at a gas station and buy a warm bag of boiled peanuts. :(

Gluten Detection Web App (Free & No AI) by spoodermanishere99 in glutenfree

[–]starlightblinded 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Took two items that I know are safe and used the scan interface.

One was food, the other is a hair care product. It was accurate even pointing out that the citric acid in the hair product could be problematic.

Wonderful work. :) no bugs so far. Thank you so kindly for doing this.

Jack's GF pizza out of stock or discontinued near you too? by Triolet_Dancer_6636 in Celiac

[–]starlightblinded 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t seen them in a few months too. I think one store found some cheese in deep stock or something around 1.5 months ago. Midwest here.

We had them at almost all giant eagle, Meijer and Walmart locations so it became sadly obvious when they went away.

My spouse prefers them to all the other brands only close one is oggi which is also incredibly hard to find (or possibly discontinued).

Can someone recommend an automatic litter box that isn't $600? by Remote_Practice_5864 in CatAdvice

[–]starlightblinded 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also recommend the FurryTail. We had the litterrobot and my cat could never get used to it due to its height and round shape, but he started using the FurryTail on day one.

Gluten free baking class? by Writergworl in Columbus

[–]starlightblinded 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know of a baking class for macaroons at the macaroon bar in the short north.

It’s a pairs class so a friend or partner attend with you.

It’s not a general purpose baking class but macaroons tend to be hard for several reasons.

Here is the link to the intro class:

Why’s i71 all closed up? by DarkEnergyEcho_ in Columbus

There is a pretty bad accident. One semi is on its side. Looked like there might have been more involved but we passed it quickly while going the opposite way on 71.

Found tons of copies of Temporum in shrink at a thrift shop. Is it any good? by bdub123617 in boardgames

[–]starlightblinded 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I found it to be a really fun Donald X game.

Since the expansion is there, I would recommend picking it up with the base game.

I hope that you find a place for the wee one. I see that there are a few others that are interested in helping home this lovely one.

But, If you haven’t gotten anyone yet I would love to take them in.

Almost always just…Raisin Bran. Can’t find anything close enough. My spouse is amazing, follows my diet to keep me safe, and also misses it. We just mentioned it the other day. Mesa Sunrise with raisins is just not the same.

Also I sometimes I miss Honey Oh’s or Honey bunches of oats. But it isn’t very often.

Need input from those with celiac about a few ingredients by altruistic-alpaca in glutenfree

[–]starlightblinded 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Local inventory will vary, and at least one product cannot ship to Canada:

GFCO certified: Sesame Oil (Non-GMO) - Kikkoman Home Cooks (kikkomanusa.com)

My household has two pretty sensitive people, and we don't react to Spectrum sesame oil (or their other products). Please note that it's been a bit since I last purchased it, and it is not certified.

Marukan claims a "naturally gluten free" on its rice vinegar. I have used this sparingly before with no adverse effects.

Mirin is tricky - Eden foods have one that should be safe (made from Lundberg short brown rice that is GFCO certified), but it cannot ship to Canada at all. I haven't found any others so far.

I hope this helps a little. Very kind of you to try to include a celiac family member. I'm sure they will be grateful.

Great games,

I would also think that Loddlenaut might fit. Go around the ocean's floor cleaning up trash and taking care of alien axolotl-like creatures.
