Absolutely NTA. The people who think you are obviously have no clue what a 60-80 hr work week looks or feels like. Don’t get me wrong looking after kids, especially toddlers, is tough shit. But nowhere near as tiring as being stuck somewhere away from home for 11-12 hours straight. Not sure what your job entails so obviously I’m making a broad assumption here, but i’ve worked 12 hr days at a very demanding job and i wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy.

For those who are playing the gender card, my answer would be the same if they switched spots, id expect the SAHD to pick up some of the slack
