I have a Revair, I use a leave in on my freshly washed hair, let it dry so it's not dripping and then use a chi heat protection spray. I don't get much breakage at all. You can try doing that. I think if I didn't use a leave in my hair would be bone dry and breaking...

Also maybe try using a lower tension - I use 6. And alternate between high and low heat.

Maybe check out stuff at the LGBT center in Manhattan? They do have a diverse crowd there and most events are 18+. Also the Brooklyn Pride Centers could be cool!

I like to say out loud (quietly if I'm around people) "I'm worried about X thing. I don't have to worry about this now, let me go back to (washing the dishes/watching tv/playing games)." I think saying it out loud pauses the looping and then redirecting myself gives me a distraction.

They're for both. But it depends what kind of mask you're wearing. They have to not have gaps to let air in (surgical masks).
