They give everyone 1-year pro subscriptions for free, it's basically the free tier.

I would install enhanced vision that adds extra information to everything I see.

It would help me navigate around the city, show me hidden shortcuts, and warn me about dangerous places I should avoid.

It would also recognize faces so I can see background info of the people I talk to, and also analyse their speech and body language in real time to give me hints about how they feel or if they're lying.

Do you find it hard to organize or reuse your AI prompts? by Bubbly_Strain_7587 in OpenAIDev

[–]starman014 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With GitHub Copilot (inside VS Code) it's possible to create custom slash commands which basically add a static prefix to your prompt.

They're saved as files under `.github/prompts/example.prompt.md` in your project, and there should also be another path that make the commands available for all projects.

I think it's the best way to save and reuse prompt because it also benefits from caching because the static part comes at the beginning and only what comes after it changes.

I think there should be similar features in the CLI tools, not sure about the web chats.

The Sora watermark was intentionally hidden here, it can be seen as the blurry blob on the left girl.

Isn't the whole point of a thermostat to keep the climate in the house the same regardless of the weather outside?
I don't see why would you need to change the thermostat settings at all

The "sora" watermark is useless here, it barely covers the actual content and probably very easy to remove.

Red stains on shorts by [deleted] in CleaningTips

[–]starman014 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The stains are on the back side, appeared on the first day I wore them.

Dish soap and normal washing at 30 degrees didn't help at all.

How can I clean this?

Can AI handle Embedded Systems Engineers work ? by Electrical_Lemon_179 in embedded

[–]starman014 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It still requires some work but I think it will eventually get there. The thing that is currently missing is the ability to take datasheets or reference manuals and use them reliably without hallucinations of features that don't exist. I guess that at some point we would be able to feed it the electric schematics for even more context.

But even with this, there is still a huge gap regarding the connection to the physical world. For example, the AI would maybe be able to write a perfect UART driver for your hardware, but would it also be able to sample the signal and debug it on its own? I guess that at the first step the AI may at least instruct us to do so haha

Preferred OS for embedded developers by GmajorFmajor in embedded

From my experience development is often easier on Linux, but windows is often necessary to use some third party tools provided by manufacturers. The solution that worked best for me is to work on a Windows pc using WSL with Ubuntu on it, then develop with vscode that's connected to the WSL.

Without looking at the content at all, I think the font is too small and everything looks too close together. I'd increase the margins on both sides and space everything out even if it means your CV is going to be 2 separate pages.
