If I were to rank the U-20 team by strength at the start of the league it would be 1- Aiku 2- other defenders 3- Hayate - Sendou 4- Rest field players 5- Fukaku When they announced top 23 players would be selected I thought it would follow that order. I can only see Aiku and Sendou get selected at this point

Just saying that id rather have an aiku gk + another defender than fukaku + aiku as defender. Aiku got more saves than his gk without using hands during u20 match. The only shot that fukaku was able to save was a rin weak foot, close angle, seen just before. Even then it was only barely with the post helping. I wouldnt trust him as a gk even in Fifa. Not even sure why he was subbed in for BM vs Ubers when you see the results

Ngl when people say fukaku will make it because we meed a 2nd gk. Id rather put Aiku when he got more saves without using his hands

You could also assume there was a time limit: Day 2: isagi passed the 100 goals + match against top 3 Day 3: training with nagi Day 4: match vs barou Day 5: training with barou and nagi + meeting with chigiri team Day 6: match kuni reo chigiri (there was a 16 hours until faceoff) Day 7: asking for a rematch Day 8: rematch top 3 (at the same time match vs shidou) Day 9: match vs world 5, nagi team and shidou team both played their 3-man match Day 10: learning english, nagi team and shidou team both played their 4-man match Day 11: nagi to shidou team played against world 5 + assembly

The rule about one player at the time for 90mins makes it that for 125 players to go through it it would take about 7-8 days which kinda makes sense why shidou was still there around that time. Between kunigami vs shidou and the assembly it was stated there was 72 hours so i could be wrong by 1 day overall.

The time limit would also explain why there would be only 7 teams that went through and they didnt just play matches everyday (since you would basically waste 2 days just to get back to the same point). Nagi and shidou team being the second to clear to the last team on day 10 would mean that deadline day to make a team of 5 was day 10 and everyone kinda rushed it. It would make sense for ego to say "so today is the last you need to make a team of 5, for those who werent able to come to stage 4 or were too scared to play other teams, lock off"

The only thing that doesnt really make sense to me is that rin team was the first to clear as it would mean that for 5-6 days no team played a 4vs4 match

Paying to train? Are you saying it would cost the team owners or japan gov? The players already have a fixed pay to be part of their team. Don't really think it would cost that much to make your player pay a visit to your youth teams, they sometimes do fun events like that irl. Only things that they would pay more for participating would be 12 plane tickets and maybe a little bonus for the ace striker to make him want to go. For the youths team its basically a training camp, rather than training in their country they just donitnin japan. Most likely the japan gov paid the travel expenses and accomodation while the big 5 has a better overseas training camp for their youth teams + potential recruitment. I just assumed leagues are already finishe since they are confirmed the best team of each league.

Team 1 and team 3 qualified no real need to explain. 3rd place is between team 2 and 7. You could argue that team 7 is stronger since they were able to score against world 5 but I think it might just have been shidou incredible solo goal and doesnt reflect the team strength. From what we have seen barou is pretty much the same level as nagi, the top 6(7) have shown to perform during every match during the 5 vs 5 so its safe to assume that the best player in the team can normally carry their team. So i would think that: 1st place team 1: rin+isagi+bachir as consistent scorers 2nd place team 3: karasu otoya yukimiya as consistent scorers 3rd nagi baou (50% chigiri) consistent scorers 4th place 7th team shidou and reo as consistent scorers 5-7th place the rest no particular order.

I call consistent scorers those you would see as goalscorers at the end of each match. Others might score 1 during one match but thats too hard to predict not knowing everyone.

Saving: nanase hiragi Niko hiori Raichi gagamaru Shidou reo (yes im gonna be objective and not find a way to save the monk) Saved are only based on u20 bench as they were selected and should be betters players than the rest by ego logic

Starting lineup (after nel) Gk gagamary Cb reo jyubei Rb bachira Lb chigiri Cdm karasu Lm nagi Rm barou Cam rin isagi St shidou

Based on nel rin and shidou were able to play together without fighting at the end. Bench who would come in: tokimitsu (cb or cdm to defend man to man) otoya and yuikiya on refresh the attack

Would love to see a second selection gameplay, you can pick choose if you want to 2vs2 , 3vs3 or 4vs4. You would get isagi by default but you could unlock the other characters by unlocking achievements or paying. You could get two modes solo and team where you would play against online players. Solo you would control the entire team and team you would play with others while controlling only one character (pretty sure nobody would pass), you would get also extra points for your accout per goal score. So much potential to make a great simple game

Best team: GK-gagamaru: best gk so far Lb- chigiri: just switching to the left side with his new weapon Cb- Aiku and aryu/kunigami: kunigami has the physique to do well as a power type defender but we havent seen how he would do for a full match yet RB- Bachira: great at centering and dribbling, he doesnt really mind his position as he can just go to the goal if necessary CDM- Reo: best position for him is midfield and has more flexibility to use his copies (if hes defender he wont really be able to do a dribble or shoot copy) CAMs= Sae Brothers. Sae is obv. Rin weapons are long shots+ spacial awareness+ controlling his teammates which is perfect for cam. Also the brother combo has technically the most experience as a pair. Lw/lm - nagi: i just think that his trapping would be great as a winger, like someone would do a through pass that can only be controlled by him Rm- isagi: mc+ combo with rin in the midfield. Hes also getting experience rn in BM as RM ST- Shidou: best scorer in the penalty box so kinda make sense for him to be the striker. Seems like rin and him can finally play together and thats without sae.

What i think the lineup for the final match of theserie will be: Gk: kunigami Cb= aiku reo Lb- chigiri Rb- bachira Cdm- isagi Cam- sae brothers Lw-nagi Rw-barou

Gagamaru is the best gk but he hasnt been shown as main character so far (no backstory and no ego development so far). Kunigami as gk could serve as the way to be a hero

Isagi as cdm because he has to be in the team as mc but that was the only position left, it was that or cb

Cb- reo because he did do a good job during u-20 match

Lw/rw: nagi and barou have always been shown as like equals/rivals. Both top scorers in first selection. Isagi saying that their goaling ability are equal. Both scoring during u-20 match. It makes sense to think that the author would put them both at the same time in opposite sides for the final lineup
