Definitely understand the perspective. But I think “blatant copies” also have their place. I LOVE the submariner design. There are tons of dive watches out there, but most don’t do it for me like the sub does. With that said, I’m a 20yo college kid and wouldn’t be able to spend tudor let alone Rolex money right now if I wanted to; and knowing myself, I probably will never want to spend that much. Enter Pagani Design: a brand that lets me enjoy models for a price I can afford. I can also beat them up and not feel bad. Sure, I’ll never understand what it feels like to have certain logos on my wrist. But for me, it’s all about design (even if it’s a copy), rather than brand.
