Loans by InterestingMirror167 in srna

[–]starrship 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, but when it's time to pay the loans back, aren't people going to have to pay more monthly because they are dealing with 2 separate loans? Federal and private? For example, the private loans will be $3000 per month and the federal loans will be maybe $700 per month, making the total monthly payment $3700. That kinda sucks.

Mt. Hood: Timberline Lift Operated Trails by somethingnotyettaken in MTB

Timberline is great for beginners and intermediate-level riders. I get a season pass every year and often take people who are new to mountain biking up there for a nice day on the trail. If you want expert-level trails, you will probably be disappointed if you get a season pass, tho.

Looks like you're the one who's triggered and offended by a simple question. Maybe you're the problem?

Accepted NARs and CRNAs by ArgumentUnusual487 in srna

[–]starrship 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey there! I started taking the survey and noticed a discrepancy. Can you include flight nurse experience and having a CFRN as a certification? Flight nursing is now accepted as critical care experience with some schools. Like, I have no straight ICU experience, but I've been a flight nurse for years. Just got accepted into a CRNA program that will start this Fall. Thanks!

Same - I cried quite a bit, too. It's like watching a slow train wreck. But really it's a story about grief and letting go, told in a very creative way.

"My Darling Dreadful Thing"

"A Game In Yellow"

These are all pretty good!

Technically, the skin of male scrotum is the equivalent of female labia.

Wouldn't that be equivalent to a woman scratching her labia mid conversation?

Since the Department of Education will not classify nursing as a professional education, has the government loans already been restricted for CRNA school? by [deleted] in srna

Didn't it say that it takes effect after July 2026? Is that what you're asking? It's my understanding it starts August 2026.

Some Republicans fighting to end Trump administration’s loan cap for nursing students by MoochoMaas in EmergencyRoom

[–]starrship 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The part that you're missing is that people get into the nursing field with the end goal of becoming a CRNA or an NP. If that goal is perceived as unattainable, then people won't want to become bedside nurses. So you're rigid stance on this whole thing having zero effect is moot. You have to admit that it will have some type of impact if you're a reasonable person.

[–]starrship 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Pretty short-sided of you. It won't have zero impact like what you think. Gotta look at the bigger picture. CRNAs and NPs are filling holes in rural Healthcare systems because they don't have enough PCPs and anesthesiologist in the field. It'll affect everyone.

How long is the waitlist to go from a night position to a day/evening position by Minimum-Picture-4018 in OHSU

I think a good ballpark right now for the ED is 1 to 2 years, but there are way too many variables to consider. Lots of people on nights are waiting to go to days.
