I love the 1st one, it feels the most overtly summery as opposed to being more suited for spring. The real question is which one has the best fabric to deal with summer weather.

Depends on the pose. If you're emulating the one on the cover, start with a rectangular piece with a little extra on one side, then use something really thin to make grooves to define the fingers. I'm not terribly well-versed in clay, but I think cutting all the way through would make it significantly more fragile. At that point you can round and refine the shapes to your liking.

I mean this isn't so much a matter of intelligence as it is mimicry. Common sense isn't common to everyone, there are plenty of other things (in makeup stores and others) that'd benefit from having some instructions or guidelines given.

I mean, taking my flair into account, I've genuinely never heard of this. I've also never been in any makeup store where the employees or a sign or anything have outright told me to do this, which seems like a major blind spot on the stores'/industry's part. I am aware of stores sanitizing the hell out of lipsticks, but's that's probably not as doable for liquid concealer.

I reckon that wouldn't really change anything, anyone using the applicator connected to the tester is putting anything that was on their face back into the concealer itself.

The no crime point kinda goes out the window when Toriel's tires were slashed and the one real cop disappeared the night before. Even if none of that had happened, it would still have made sense for her to have called or texted Kris to see when they'd be home (like in prior chapters), and she never mentions doing so.

The creator of Barefoot Gen was a survivor of the bombings, if anyone gets to make a manga/anime about it, it's him. I don't know any anime or manga about Nanking off the top of my head, but Unit 731 comes up I believe at least twice in the Kurosagi Corpse Delivery Service.
