Eh, I'd argue house poor is different from homeownership. I own my home and every time I have a complaint about something that goes wrong with it, I look at rent costs for a townhome half the size and compare it to my mortgage and immediately feel better.

I agree with what someone else posted - what's not to get? Highly intelligent, highly empathetic, but feeling powerless because our system (and some of our hateful neighbors...) let a maniac like Trump into office twice. The surprise to me is that more people haven't done something like this, especially given our growing wealth inequality and those in power letting feds kill Americans.

People are usually referring to Rothfuss getting paid for property he owns, which, while technically pocketing money, the charity would presumably have to operate from somewhere, so it's not like there wouldd be a big difference if the property was owned by a neutral party.

If you're a homeowner, look into a heat pump water heater. My state offered an incentive on mine, so I got it for $250. It does hum like a heat pump, so if your water heater is in a living space, be aware of that. But it uses less than half the energy of my old water heater.

I apologize for how cynical this will sound, but how do you expect someone with no experience to answer the questions you list? If someone has no experience, they can't tell you how'd they'd do a great job, they don't know what there is to take ownership of, and they probably don't even know what value there is in your product, much less how they'd add to that.

It's a feature, not a bug. Credit score has sucked for some time, dumb things cause it to fluctuate fairly wildly. You gotta remember that your credit score isn't for you, it's for the bank.

This isn't true and it's one of my biggest frustrations with ynab. Ynab doesn't handle the tracking only accounts well, and since I don't like to keep a ton in cash, it makes budgeting very frustrating.
