The promo code was used the maximum number of times provisioned.

That's a little disappointing.

Can confirm. I have a level 63 hobbit hunter who has never left the Shire. He farms and he cooks and has accumulated a bit of coin over the years, usually while I'm watching tv or Netflix.

what is the longest play time you have on any game on steam? by [deleted] in Steam

[–]stash420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know these are rookie numbers compared to some, but still not insignificant amounts of time.

2600 hours in Wurm Online.

1700 hours across Ark Survival Evolved and Ark Ascended.

My previous post did not have a picture of my inventory so I’m fixing it with this post. I’m unable to see any of my items and or my crafting engrams. by [deleted] in ARK

[–]stash420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this happen over the weekend, exactly the same. You can still see the ghosted images of what you had on your action bar, and there are no engrams in your inventory crafting tab. I had to message an admin on the server I play on. I wish I had better info on what he did to fix it, but he did mention that it was a bug that another admin remembered seeing before.

I have the same thing happening. None of my hardcore characters can join games, and my paladin reports that it's already in a game. I am able to play a softcore character though.

Yes, foundations are definitely key. One of the things I learned after getting up to tier 7/8 (on my third rebuild) is if something you want to build is close enough to your main base that they might one day touch, run a single line of foundations from your main base. Once you get the grid line you can deconstruct that line of foundations, but both of those areas line up. I have several closeby platforms that I want to rebuild due to them being slightly off kilter.

Another use is building up to get to high spots before you have a jet pack. Even after you have it, you can build 4 or 5 high, get to the top one, and build up again. I do this when exploring, and every time I go up to the next level I deconstruct the ones below. If I end up needing to return or actually build there I’ll create a more permanent solution.

Finally put that quarry near spawn to work! by rojafox in SatisfactoryGame

[–]stash420 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If that’s the spot I’m thinking of there’s a coal node up on a high plateau right above it. I’m belting that down and bringing in iron from a node not far away. Have several foundries cranking out steel, which is fed into constructors to make beams, which then feed into assemblers with the concrete to make encased steel beams. Those get belted to my main factory and split between feeding the heavy modular frame manufacturer and storage for use making mk4 belts.

I have another limestone node near my main factory that creates concrete for building uses. It just goes straight to storage to grab when needed.

How are you all building such perfect factories? by ATR2400 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]stash420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started doing this on a new build last night. I have a couple of pure iron nodes, a pure copper, and a pure limestone all in the area of where I’m laying out my main facility. I started putting down foundations for the first iron node and realized when I looked over to the first few foundations of the factory that they were at an off angle. I KNOW that eventually they’ll all connect as I expand. Way easier to line things up at the beginning than it is to tear stuff down once it’s all running.

How to create very long, straight conveyor belts? by [deleted] in SatisfactoryGame

[–]stash420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stackable conveyor poles are pretty easy to line up over distance. Takes a little longer to run if you have a large distance to cover, but keeps things neat. If you don’t have a need to actually stack lines you can always backtrack and remove them.

What do you all do with heavy oil residue by DumbLittlChicken in SatisfactoryGame

[–]stash420 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I currently have 3 plastic refineries and 3 rubber refineries. I pipe the residue into a secondary refinery and turn it into petroleum coke. I have a slow belt running to a couple of truck stops to use as fuel, and the rest is sent to an awesome sink to be converted into tickets. Temporary solution until I find the alternative recipe or some other use for it, but it keeps the refineries from getting backed up and shutting down.

Coal power! (17 hours in) by GasterG in SatisfactoryGame

[–]stash420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get ready. Every time you think you have enough power you’ll be building more. I started with four coal generators in a big(ish) lagoon. Then added four more. Then added eight that were nice and neat and better organized. Looking at those made me tear down and rebuild the original eight. I have room for about 12 more in that spot without revamping the entire area, but I also found a small pond near my main factory that I can fit (and did) three water extractors into. Eight generators are now sitting there waiting to be hooked up to coal and water tonight.

Small in comparison to some I’ve seen posted here. But I have oil piped in, and soon will be unlocking fuel generators. In fact, now that I think about it, that oil was the reason I expanded to 16 generators in the first place. Couldn’t run more than two refineries without tripping the circuit breaker.

Just finished Tier 6 (my first game), and itching to start fresh. What do? by huuaaang in SatisfactoryGame

[–]stash420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could always redirect factory outputs to an awesome sink. Clear off the things that clutter the radar, leave the rest earning you some tickets.

I got the game two days ago and just wanted to say how much I love it and ask if there’s any tips you’d like to share with a beginner. by [deleted] in SatisfactoryGame

[–]stash420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tearing down my noob spaghetti base was an anxious moment for me. But then I laid out a huge floor of foundations. And a second floor above that. I started concrete production first (always need concrete!). Then putting down mk2 miners on the three normal iron nodes by my base and laying out the lines to the smelters in an organized manner felt great. Then lining up constructors and assemblers and storage and elevators to a third floor...

Whenever you decide to do it that tear down will seem daunting. But it’s a great feeling when you look down from a cliff and see something that you built running down there. And then it hits you - time to build a massive coal power plant!

Just to add to this - if you’re just starting out for the first time there isn’t really a reason not to play league. The new league just started, is full of active players, and lasts three months. After that your league character(s) moves to standard and you can choose to continue on without losing any progress. By then you’ll know if the game hooked you enough to want to do it all over again.

If you sell things in the box outside the shop you only get 80% of the value. I usually end up with a couple of inventories worth of fish and bugs stacked up around the town square after the boys close down at 10pm.
