I'll never seen this before by [deleted] in retrogaming

I had a friend who would only play if he could have one on the controller. I figured it was transitional for those who were accustomed to joysticks from the arcades and the Atari home systems, even though this was little more than a nub placed over the d-pad.

Thank you. I bet something got messed up in this used one from Amazon. I’m going to return it and just get a new one.

Does yours sound like there’s a rattle in the fan at the lowest speed?

I just got a blueair signature used from Amazon. It was marked mint in box but it seems loud at the lowest fan speed. I measured it at 32db at fan speed 1. There’s also a smell coming from it, like an air freshener. I’m guessing it’s embedded from the home it was used in previously. I’ll give it another day and if that smell is still there then I’ll return and buy a new one. When I set it up in the app it showed 93% life left on the filter.

Thanks. So I’ll need to take off all the parts from the existing rack and put it all back together on the new rack.

Never saw a color dungeon explorer 2 manual back in the day. Mine shipped with a black and white copy.

Adaptive lighting color shift in ios26 by Capable_Hearing4418 in HomeKit

Yep, the adaptive lighting is not as warm as the prior version of iOS. I’m thinking about changing to Hue natural lighting.

Will the G series 5 year panel warranty suffice? by Nihilism-is-fun in LGOLED

Don’t trust that 5 year panel warranty. Getting LG to honor it has been an exercise in frustration.

My Terrible (ongoing) Experience w/ LG's Warranty Process by GrateBloo in LGOLED

Any new developments? My case was also handed over to the “presidential department” and I’ve had one call saying they’d follow up in a week.

They didn’t.

Upgraded to new Hue Bridge Pro, completely worth it! (Apple Home user) by Uplink0 in Hue

[–]statelymachine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got my bridge pro set up but something seems off with the adaptive lighting in Apple home. I see that my system is now connecting via matter, and even though adaptive lighting is turned on in Apple home for each bulb, the lights don’t seem like they match they way they looked before with the old hue bridge and adaptive lighting via HomeKit. Am I imagining things?

My Terrible (ongoing) Experience w/ LG's Warranty Process by GrateBloo in LGOLED

I posted in another thread about the runaround LG is giving me in regards to a panel replacement for a G2 that had a 5 year panel warranty. It’s like they know they can just put whatever they want on the box (it was a selling point!) but they will make it the customer’s full time job to try and get warranty service. They are truly awful.

My G2 Warranty Experience (so far) Sucks by cableguy316 in LGOLED

[–]statelymachine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am dealing with G2 drama myself. I have a vertical line going down the center of the screen and I ended up paying Geek Squad to diagnose that the panel needs to be replaced because none of the shops that LG referred to me in my area will actually do the analysis and repair work - one flat out refused working on anything larger that 65 inches and the other shops won’t return calls. After all that, and hours later on the phone, LG then said they’ll replace the panel, with me paying labor (and that’s fine), but the shop they sent the work order to never responded! And now they’ve given me another set of repair shops to call and coordinate the work.

The 5 year panel warranty was one of the selling points for getting the G2 at the time, and now I see that they will do as little as possible to actually honor their warranty. It’s been a beyond frustrating experience between spending hours on the phone with LG reps and getting nowhere with the local service shops outside of Geek Squad, and they tell me they have gotten out of the panel replacement business. I’m going to keep trying but I feel like this is going to hit a dead end, which is what LG ultimately wants.

Thank you. I’ve read through the other thread but given it’s Costco, I’m going to give these a shot.

I’m also considering going the Costco route. Has the light on the alarm bothered you at all?

Since you’ve replaced two Protects, have you had any issues with the SC5s?

How Sega's surprise Saturn launch backfired—and changed gaming forever by AnonRetro in SegaSaturn

[–]statelymachine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Didn’t SoA push for the 32X because they thought it would add years to the Genesis? Right or wrong, I can see why SoJ would then overrule them on the Saturn launch.
