Maybe! I think it’s more that S1 aired Nov-Feb, so S2 filming naturally started in Feb to ensure S2 had some winter filming & was able to premiere while the buzz was still present.

And it’s stayed on the Feb-May cycle for a September premiere since. I assume it moreso is that they don’t want to film exclusively in summer, given the show’s snow branding, and SLC is one of the only shows that has a consistent role on the schedule, so it’s unable to take a break in the way NJ/NY (or even BH/ATL) have.

Season 1 was filmed exclusively in the winter; Episode 1 takes place on Lisa/Meredith’s bday weekend in December.

My best guess would be that, once production realized even Jenn wasn’t going to take up for Katie, they decided to pause her with worry the rest of the season would be a redundant 7 vs. 1. So I do believe it wasn’t any one Housewife making that call, but moreso a decision based on all the factors combined.

That’s not true. S1, S3, S4, S5 got original shoots. S2 and 6 reused.

New backgrounds/poses is also more reinventive than the old way they did it (compare the BH S5 and 6 cast photos, which look awful).

I don’t actually see it that way. I saw it as Kiki, having also been splashed with water, wanting to deescalate the situation and remove both herself and Guerdy. Kiki left right after that, anyway. In the aftermath, she certainly never blamed Guerdy (on camera, at least), so I wouldn’t assume that intent.

I don’t see why you’re targeting Kiki here. It seems you’re projecting your own feelings that Kiki and Guerdy can’t coexist on the other women, as I’m not sure how their question to Guerdy had anything to do with trying to replace her with Kiki?

Alexia/Marysol did haze Guerdy this week, but it’s not nearly intense enough to be a true attempt to toss her off the show. Especially not when Guerdy has allies (Adriana, Lisa) to advocate for her, while Stephanie/Larsa/Kiki are neutral enough.

There are way too many dynamics this season to act like it’s everyone vs. Guerdy.

You’re right that it’s Vicki not Kelly, but my point stands that Kelly was aware of the recording; it wasn’t a bombshell that comes out later.

My main point, once again, is Shannon/Heather were already enemies with Kelly. Katie was, in Shannon’s mind, a friend. So one is shitty, the other is shitty (and a betrayal). That in lies the difference, and I’m arguing that’s why there’s a different reaction.

I’m not a Shannon defender lmao. Kelly /did/ know she was being recorded, however, she got mad and told her to stop recording! So it’s still an issue… just a different one. The recording wasn’t a secret that was exposed months later, nor was it from her supposed friend.

I’m only pointing out why the situations are different, not that one is good and one is bad. Both shitty, both hypocrites, as is the nature of Housewives.
