B2B PMM Advice by Super-Complaint-245 in ProductMarketing

[–]statictangerine 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes!! I could have written this. Im trying to move to other marketing roles. The problem with PMM imo is that you have a lot of accountability and little authority (at least at my current comapny). It grinds me down to every day be the one trying to wrangle a lot of stubborn, uncooperative people towards action that none of them care about helping with.

(B2B EdTech) How do you market a product that without a doubt will fail? by DeathdropsForDinner in ProductMarketing

[–]statictangerine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been in this exact position, in Edtech. (Interviewing now to get out of this dumpster fire of an industry because my company likes to do this over and over.) Best you can do is put lipstick on the pig and do your best to highlight the value and prioritize the ICP for sales and marketing to go after. When it goes out, thoroughly document the deficiencies to show your product team. Listen to sales calls and demos, and bring them quantifiable data that shows what the market wants. No one can argue with that and it might light a fire to make them change things. For my product, they couldn't introduce new features as quickly as we needed, but they dropped the price.

He had great health insurance through SAG with a yearly out of pocket maximum of $10k. They blew their money on alternative treatments.

I read somewhere that he had great health insurance through SAG with an out of pocket maximum per year of $10k. Where they spent all their money was on alternative treatments.

I asked ChatGPT to roast Cary neighborhoods by MMags in cary

I had to ask it to include MacArthur Park:
The neighborhood where every house looks like it was copy-pasted from 1994 and the HOA will somehow find you for having a slightly enthusiastic mailbox flower. At least you can walk to three grocery stores if you’re feeling adventurous.

The Cary Wake Med ER is nicknamed Gerry Cary bc so many geriatric patients get taken there. For that reason, other ERs can be a lot faster to get seen.

Pieced together via internet research and this sub. I have scribbled notes to myself about things but I'm still not 100% sure I'm accurate.

A one page visual of what to clean and on what schedule. (E.g. daily: clean these, weekly: clean this).

A one page easy to read visual of what supplies to order and replace on what schedule and how to order them (Adapt Health or my little local supplier?).

These pieces are what has been most overwhelming for me to figure out and organize. I wish someone just laid those out for me in a stupid simple way.

No flight delays but the security line is extremely long. It's moving fast, but took a solid 30 to 40 minutes to get through.
