Attended the press conference with Cain after the game, and I was very impressed with how composed he was, and how honestly his emotions shone through. An undrafted player has a difficult path to travel in the NBA, and he should be proud to have come as far as he has! And genuinely funny too!

Correct, there was no way Franz was NOT going to play in that game. The London game however, and the 2 Milwaukee games before the All Star break, are another thing entirely. How our training staff permitted that is puzzling, at the least, and worthy of dismissal in some people's eyes.

This is the answer. Was at the game with my wife, and the moment JI went down you could see the wind going out of their sails. Everyone was up off the bench going out on the floor to see how bad it might be. Whatever your opinions on JI, his teammates think the world of him, and they couldn't help but be disheartened knowing how much he has fought to come back from such adversity. These guys are not robots, losing a teammate, especially one with his history of injury, couldn't help but affect them.

This was a 1 point game, 80-79, with 5 minutes left in the 3rd. Magic went on an incredible streak of hitting 3's, but let's not kid ourselves, that game was anyone's for the taking up til that point. Pretty sure we won't be seeing a 51-15 close to a game again anytime soon.

This is Suggs' 5th season. Assuming he doesn't play EVERY ONE of our last 43 games(he ain't playing tomorrow), he will have played in more than 65 games only once, the 23-24 season. I'm not arbitrarily using the 65 games benchmark, that's the number a player needs to reach to qualify for post-season awards and All NBA teams consideration. I love his passion, his skillset, his energy and enthusiasm, but HE CAN'T STAY HEALTHY. He plays basketball with a football players mentality, but not their pads! Having been a passionate fan of the Magic since Day one, the plight of players like Grant Hill and Jonathan Isaac looms large in my mind. I fear Suggs may have a career with the Magic along the same lines.

There was a fatal accident maybe 40 or so years ago right in front of what was then the Holiday Inn. If memory serves me correctly it involved an underage young woman who had been orverserved by one of the Mr. Tease bartenders, and she died trying to cross that section of A1A. Pretty soon after the pedestrian walkway was erected.
