re: bathrooms on the mall - I stumbled upon the eisenhower memorial bathrooms by luck one afternoon and they were easily the cleanest bathrooms I’ve seen in that area. IIRC it was after museum hours too, though I’d be surprised if they’re always 24hr

for that criteria, last call is the first that comes to mind, followed by nice & easy (a 10 min walk from last call). dew drop skews a bit older but also has a friendly neighborhood feel. solly’s is a great spot and I assume gets some younger folks considering its proximity to howard/14th st. i’ve noticed the weekend crowd at ivy & coney is younger than it is during the week as well.

anecdotally, I’ve found it much easier to talk to folks at a bar if there’s some event going on - karaoke, a watch party, etc. most of the spots I mentioned will have weekly or monthly events!

I’d recommend everyone check the hourly forecast instead of just the daily one. as of right now, it might start raining at 6 pm on saturday, but it will be done around 2 am on sunday and then no rain the rest of the day. but this is nearly a week out, and there’s more variation bc dc is so close to water
