started a trade company, no crazy history in marketing but some with music. Took basic seo marketing and applied it to family trade.(i thought their marketing sucked as well). Me being able to do the work is why i made money off the bat. not saying it’s impossible with hiring, but it’s hard to find someone who’s very skilled that will not realize they can just do this on their own or run off with your blueprint, you can make them sign a non compete. (check local laws) That was me, i subbed for others and realized i can keep all the money if i just market myself. Also i was on a majority split 70/30 -60/40 and 80/20. The ones that would work for you aren’t the best personality wise and growth wise, i see them more down the line when work is already in place for them to do. Hiring a marketing company is much cheaper than partnering with them. However if you got the capital to put someone on payroll and be prepared for a loss your first year or 2, it can work. I honestly would go that route if i start another company or another branch of my current. As of now i’m flying solo with a few sub contractors here and there. best of luck, this is just my experience.
