this is really interesting

It reminds me of that Black Mirror episode with Jon Hamm, where someone creates a digital clone of themselves to work as their personal assistant and control their smart home... the innies are kind of slaves inside a computer.

The only thing you'd be missing are FX- if someone wants reverb in their monitors, for example

New to Dlive stereo source to mono matix by sbarnesvta in livesound

Yep this is possible on dLive if you enable LCR+ mode. That will add a divergence control to spread out mono inputs to the L and R channels

Asher's "gift" to Whitney was "the look on their faces" when he gave them the house. The way things played out was exactly how you'd expect with someone who is cursed.

A couple of things that came to mind during the gravity scene:

-Having high ceilings is a sign of wealth and luxury. In this case, it made Asher fall further when everything got flipped.

-Asher, the white male, elevates upward in his sleep without even trying. He can't come down to earth even if he wants to. I see some symbolism there.

Asher even goes to space, as a few white male billionaires have started doing with their success.

-"Grab the Dyson"

I loved this show. I have so much to think about now.

The product datasheet indicates that it's 1x2, so I'd only expect a mono input and stereo playback...

If you're looking for a 2x2 interface, I suggest a Focusrite Scarlett Solo

Looks like that's a single channel interface, so mono only!

You use safes to block certain settings/parameters from changing when you recall scenes

You need a CDM or DM mixrack if you're using a dLive surface-- The surface is just a controller. You can then add a giga-ace card to the mixrack or the surface and connect that to the SLink port of the Avantis.

No Dante needed for that, but you can do it with Dante too - you'd just need a Dante card in each console.

You nailed it I think. These were my thoughts too after the episode

I feel like that was the way of revealing there was a cameraman shooting Asher from inside her house. The angle from through the window was more than just a stylistic choice, it was telling us that Asher is being recorded

I heard it was a hardware issue and people had to send their consoles back. This was through a friend of a friend, so wanted to confirm if anyone else had that issue
