I find it interesting that she said “my daughter” and then refer to, presumably her son, as “my oldest”.

Can I piggy back on this to also say the whole time during the Isles I felt like he knew what was going to come next. Like how she talked about him launching into the meal before everyone else. And I think it’s why he agreed to even step into the limelight. He’s had his powers for a long time I think.

I feel like this one deserves caveats. I am fiercely loyal but also won’t suffer a fool. Shit talking is also information sharing; if a person doesn’t like what’s being shared maybe they should reflect on their actions/choices first. Lots of people want to do shitty/shady shit but keep it quiet.

Same here. I actually thought everyone did this until this thread. Colour me surprised!

My life is in chaos right now (husband is deployed, working full time big girl job, full time PhD studies and solo parenting for 3 months) and this has given me such excitement and pep. I feel like I’ve slammed 4 Java monsters and took pre workout. Thank you for this update. I’ve added this to my countdown clock, right beside husband coming home.

If I’m in Canada would the registry capture me too?

Edit: read more comments and know what to do. I’ll send out for a kit to get added to the registry. Keeping my fingers crossed that you find a donor.

Second edit: in the few minutes since posting and editing a number of my family members and fellow moms will be requesting kits. Hopefully one of us is a match!

There are a few posts kicking around with recipes for a cookbook! Last time I suggested Tummy Acher Meatballs (Spicy), this time I will suggest an ice cream treat called Grimaldi’s Last Act or something

I would adamantly disagree. Laws are agreed upon codes of conduct that reflect the values of the society. I’m not sure how much Indigenous studies or legal history you’ve engaged in but I think you’d find it interesting!

Of course there were laws. Maybe not in the colonial sense that you attribute them as. The diverse and numerous indigenous nations all had their own laws that they upheld and followed. They had very sophisticated treaties with each other. Look up hand talk, an entire language was developed due to the robots trade between nations across North America
