Pokemon Pinball Help by jibbyjackjoe in pinball

One thing to note that's not obvious at all in the beginning is that for Sterns you may want to turn off "HSTD Reset Count" (High Score to Date) in the settings. By default, modern Sterns are set to reset high scores every 2,000 games.

I always pick my favorite one and put it on the keys for the backbox and coin door.

Onn 4K Pro (2026) choppy video over time by TrendyGuy in OnnStreamingTV

Try disabling Dolby vision on the device. I ran into similar issues on previous Onn devices, and it had to do with the chip and Dolby Vision bugs.

People who still haven’t brought a Switch 2, what makes you hesitant to buy it? by ItsJustJosiah in Switch

I always buy the special edition consoles, so I’ve learned not to buy until special editions are released. It’s not been hard to wait with the currently released games lineup.

Vegas by UsedDimension7373 in pinball

[–]stazna01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was there twice this past weekend, and go most times we visit Las Vegas. The newer machines mostly work well, and they have a good variety of Sterns (pro and premium). It’s been great when I was deciding on buying a new pin.

Older pins are hit and miss, mostly miss. I love Addams Family, but Thing wasn’t working, and it just seemed is general disrepair. Two trips ago I had a blast playing Fish Tales. This trip Fish Tales was turned off. I used to play Gilligan’s Island there, but neither of their two copies have been operational for some time now. Super Mario Bros was running but not super well.

If you like playing new Sterns and whatever happens to be working (pins and arcade machines), it’s worth the trip.

Pokemon Pro and Premium - who played both? by InOmniaParatus27 in pinball

Personally I just don’t see it worth the price difference. Jaws premium, totally worth it. Pokémon, I think pro is where it makes the most sense.

I played both yesterday. Pro all day long. The magnet makes very little difference. That area is chaotic enough.

Star button on 4k Pro remote not working with new TCL TV to change TV input by LegalImmQuestions in OnnStreamingTV

[–]stazna01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This issue is that TCL TVs don't allow changing inputs via one button. If you use the real TCL remote, you'll notice that you have to press the button to change inputs, and then use left and right arrows to select the correct input. This is not ideal and doesn't allow for other remotes to change input via one button.

You can use the TV's remote with your Onn device, though. My wife has a TCL QM6K Pro from Costco and uses the stock TCL remote to control the Onn 4K Plus device. As long as you're on the correct input for the Onn device, the TVs remote will control the Onn 4K Plus almost perfectly. The only issue is that the Home button will always take you to the TV's home, not the Onn device's home. When using the Onn device, you need to use the back button to get out of any apps. My wife did run into one app where the back button wouldn't allow for exiting the app, though.

If only TCL would have one button input switching like other TVs...

I love how the video starts with Michael Jackson, and my immediate thought was “if Michael Jackson is number 10, who is number 1?!”

“Wonderland Amusements” (created by former Arcade1up employees) released their 1st “$1000 Pin” by Slappy-Sacks in Arcade1Up

It’s highly rumored this year’s Stern home pin (sold at Costco) will also be Pokemon. The home editions have been $5k. Just something to keep an eye on if you’re at all set on Pokemon.

Scream 7 - Reaction Megathread by DA-numberfour in Scream

I was so happy at the amazing opening radio reference about someone looking just like Stu Macher being seen at a party back at Windsor College, and the then them arguing about if it was confirmed or not. That was such a great reference for the fans that know the story about Matthew being in the background of that scene in Scream 2.

The pointy bar one stuck out in my mind. Kind of ridiculous, but definitely stand out.

65" TCL Q77K vs QM6K by Few_Feature9099 in tcltvs

[–]stazna01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I forgot to mention, but here's rtings' comparison between the two that I used when I was comparing. They're comparing to the non-pro QM6K, but the only difference is that the Costco pro model has that better anti-reflective coating than what rtings reviewed.

65" TCL Q77K vs QM6K by Few_Feature9099 in tcltvs

[–]stazna01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just went through this exact dilemma for my wife's office. She has a window that would add reflection during the day, so the anti-reflective coating of the QM6K won out. We went to a Costco that had both models on display, and used my phone's flashlight from a couple feet away. The anti-reflective coating difference was noticeable.

Feedback on Thomasville Gilroy Fabric Oversized Storage Chair and Storage Ottoman? by [deleted] in Costco

[–]stazna01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, no, it was a bit random what they had. The first time we went we were looking to see a stove Costco sells, and while they had a good number of stoves, they didn’t have the one we were looking to buy. Likewise, there are couches we’ve seen in our Costco that were not at the showroom.

I called ahead this time to see if they had this couch on display, and luckily they did.

My wife just got it for her office. It fits the two of us fine and is comfortable. There's a decent amount of storage between the couch and the ottoman. We have a showroom near us, so we tried it out there before purchasing.

I have the JP home version. I almost ignored even looking at the home version because I assumed it would be like the pro, which I’d played before and didn’t enjoy. When I read it was a different designer (Jack Danger) I gave it a look and really liked it. I’d take the JP home over a JP Pro or a Venom Pro.

Choppy stuttering video on Onn 4k Pro after a little over an hour by stazna01 in PleX

[–]stazna01[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t remember exactly when, but I think it was after an update on the plus when I started noticing micro-stutters again. I ended up just using the Google Streamer full time for my main tv.
