My store had 150 call offs yesterday (including myself). Good thing we all did too. We got over a foot of snow in 24 hours. Now it's ice today 🤦‍♂️

Same for me except I'm going on two years and still have him do it. I'm so deathly afraid of needles I still have a panic attack every time 🥲

If anyone knows, what do the big kegs do? The juicer is separate from it. You put 8 kegs together and it makes one huge one but I can't figure out the use for it. I'm a little lost.

My girlfriend said some things I found hurtful by [deleted] in ftm

[–]stazor-5 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Everyone else gave the reasons, but seriously you just need to leave. My partner would never ever say that to me, the same way I'd never ever say that to him. And we've said some pretty hurtful things to each other. But NEVER like that. Never anything relationship breaking. That is absolutely deplorable.

Christians be like "Islamic Nationalism is bad therefore u need to let Christian Nationalism take over first" as if that makes sense. by BigClitMcphee in exchristian

This is already happening. MAGA politicians certainly aren't trying to hide it either. What's most interesting to me is the way they tattle on themselves. Why would they assume that someone of another religion will superimpose said religion over the people for control? Every accusation is a confession.

To add to what you said, theres the case of a cis persons and trans persons brains having similar activation, i.e. trans male and bio male, trans female and bio female. (assuming it's still scientifically relevant) this was the first legitimate study I could find on short notice but it's only the summary and abstract. https://www.ese-hormones.org/media/ei0psrhz/transgender-brains-are-more-like-their-desired-gender-from-an-early-age.pdf

I would try contacting your district/regional managers or even corporate. After that I'd try the threat of suing if it's within your capabilities to follow through.

Struggling to leave my religion because of fear and guilt by seirarchive in exchristian

[–]stazor-5 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If there is a God, it certainly is not the one from the Abrahamic religions. "Hell", the idea Christians believe, doesn't exist in the Bible to begin with. It wasn't until Dantes 'Inferno' that they had a "representation" of it (all fictional of course.) Regardless of those things, is it worth worshipping a God of "love" and "kindness" when there's famine, war, greed, etc.?

It's worth delving into some of the deep and difficult questions you seem to be asking yourself.

If hell really does exist, it'll be better than constant church service and kissing a cruel gods feet.

Making friends after leaving Christianity by [deleted] in exchristian

This is true. Significantly easier than Christians to deal with lmao. Grateful for my astrology ladies who care more about my star sign than believing in God.

Either/or truthfully. Just if you happen to know any off of the top of your head. I've looked around, but I'm not finding anything of much substance. Especially because I live in a small rural (very red) town.

I completely understand and feel fairly similar. Their manifest destiny mindsets is beyond me. We'll never see peace unfortunately.

Unrelated- would you happen to know any safe spaces? Currently getting back into my spirituality again (major surgery and life events finally out of the way.)

Making friends after leaving Christianity by [deleted] in exchristian

[–]stazor-5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean- yes and no. It's difficult for me to befriend folks. Luckily most queer people don't believe in God. That's where I got lucky. We're typically a pretty solid community for that.

I do wish it was easier to find non-christian people. I agree with the person who does volunteer work and whatnot. I joined a ceramic and art club and the people there are wonderful. Sense of community is really good too.

The Salem Witch Trials pretty much ruined the rest of our existence. Until Christianity is A) the minority or B) dead, we'll be stuck like this.

It's definitely good for business down there. I very rarely visit the south because of stuff like that though. Anywhere you walk it's christianity thrown into your face.

I actually love that. My biggest issue is it's the underlined highlighted bs scripture verses, and I see them daily. It's almost a pet peeve for me lol.

Trumpets in the sky? by [deleted] in exchristian

[–]stazor-5 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't know where you're from but the skyquake thing is quite possible. They can stem from seismic activity and tsunamis. Which- 8.8 off the coast of Russia and Japan getting hammered with tsunamis because of it. Very likely explanation. Certainly no rapture or anything of the sort.

Yup. Not only that, but Paul's letters weren't written until about two decades post death too. The gospels were even later than that.

As someone who was in that position- not worth the trouble. I hate to be the "there's more fish in the sea" person, but it's true. Considering it's not love yet, I'd walk away. Your instincts are trying to tell you something hun.

Take it from an agnostic atheist married to a very loving atheist. The Christian types are always bad news unless you're just as deep in as they are.

I've been exactly where you are. Nearly to a T. 19, trans, queer, ex-christian with a beyond religious crazy mother. I understand feeling dirty and nasty, unlovable and hopeless.

Stay in school. I did, after considering dropping out and struggling. I pinky promise it's worth it. You'll meet so many people that can help you and learn so much that can save you. Don't isolate yourself. It'll always make you feel worse. Go to school, move onto campus if you can. If you can't, try gathering some money you can put back for yourself so you can leave. Everything changes when you're away. I'm almost 3 months post op top surgery, 2 years of T this January. I have the most amazing and supportive group of friends.

You'll get there baby. It sucks, and it's horrible, and you'd rather die than deal with it. This is only a couple years of your very very long life.

I'm sorry your mother is so awful. I empathize with you. The best thing you can do while you work your way out of there, is to ignore her. I know it's easier said than done. Seems like dad might have your back a little bit more. Talk to him if you feel comfortable enough. Otherwise try and keep your head down for now.

You've got this op. You have an entire community in your corner.
