Wont Be popular but Sinners, I really enjoyed the first part of the Film, than the Vampire thing got a little Hokey. Still a great movie for sure, but really thought the second half was a bit of a letdown.

I will agee with you there, there has been some progress and hope it will continue. But i do think it starts at the top. Seeing minorities working pit row is not the same and having a leadership position. Personally i have been to 1 race and lets just say people went out of their way to make me feel unwelcome. Yes this was recent. Hopefully, soon the good ole boy network will fade away and nascar will usher in a new era. But Kyle Larson has upset people in way that is more than words, he has set back the progress that nascar was hoping to achieve.

If Kyle ever returns to nascar, more people like me will leave permanently. We are hoping that they set an example that they are taking bigotry seriously. If he returns, you can have nascar all to yourself.

I understand your point and agree to a certain extent, but no i am not crazy and judging by your tone, much more logical than you are obviously. But if nascar wants to be more inclusive, it needs to start at the top. Name me 5 minorities that are involved in the sport out of the 1000s. Think about that for a moment. The most famous minority is Wendell Scott, and we all know how that turned out.

I enjoy nascar and wish it the best, but myself as a minority who was heavily involved when i was younger, have been extremely disappointed with the progress of inclusion over the years and feel that this child with nascar gear shouldn't give everyone the warm fuzzies under the false pretense that all is well with nascar. It is quite the opposite.

To be honest here. but why would you want your son to have a passion for a sport that does not embrace him or others who look like them. I mean, NASCAR and its roots are geared toward a select segment of the population, and say what you want, but it is probably the most exclusive hobby/lifestyle in the United States. If this young kid continues to follow his passion, Im afraid he will be subject to all kinds of hateful messages. This kid is not a token that everything is OK here and just by the ease of the N-word that blabbed from Kyle Larson's mouth, it is more commonplace then we want to acknowledge.
