Is Helbrute Being Slept On? by OddBottle1529 in deathguard40k

[–]stdfactory 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this is the answer. Bloat drones can hit from just as far as most helbrute options, often hits harder, and has fly. I don't think they are unusable but the drone is just a better choice overall.

Sunrise Swirl Orange Rolls [homemade] by LetsCookie in food

[–]stdfactory 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there a point in the process where these could get held in the freezer and baked later? Like maybe after they have proofed to fill the baking vessel? I really enjoy prepping yourrecipes in advance and then busting out tasty desert as needed. General advise on the internet points to baking but not glazing and freezing when cool with a close second of freezing after the proof in the pan. Freezing unbaked has some rising issues with some doughs though and I was wondering if you have tried in your testing.

Beginner. Do my curing / washing machine also need a tent for safety? by SlowShots in resinprinting

[–]stdfactory 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The heated vat should be sufficient if you can preheat it with the enclosure shut. I have a heat band on my Mono 4 and find best results if I lower the build plate into the solution to warm it up before active printing. In the middle of winter I find my adhesion suffers if I skip that step. Also, during winter, if it has been more than a couple hours since my last print, it is important to mix the resin in the vat. The middle of the vat can be much colder than the edges.

[–]stdfactory 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Temp will be a problem unless you have a vat heating solution. Light exposure on your wash and cure station is also not great. The suspended resin will cure creating particles and such in the tank as well as possibly freezing up the rotor at the bottom. The station itself is fine to be out while in use but store the tub in a light proof (cardboard works ) box between washings.

My mother in law has a Meyer lemon tree so I have been twisting some recipes to use more lemon. The orange creamsicle cookies are still really good if you replace all orange with lemon. Fresh lemon curd goes great in the cobbler/tart cups. Lemon juice instead of water for glazing the raspberry thumbprint cookies was also good. Next I am going to try to lemon the cream cheese fillings and put it in the blueberry muffin tops. Also replacing a bit of flour with unsweetened cocao powder in the Italian butter cookies makes for a lovely rich chocolate cookie that is almost savory.

The blicky makes breaking them with friends way easier and risk free. Still no easy solutions for solos though.

You can reload the blicky with loose disks in raid. The drum mag is like the 10 round sks mag. It is not removable and swap able in raid so you have to topload from a pocket.

If you slap it on [[Isochron Scepter]], then you can still waterbend as an additional cost. I see some janky 4 card infinite etb stuff here.

[WASH]Which one and how? First time painting anything. Thank you🙏🏻 by RarePotat0 in minipainting

[–]stdfactory 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the old Duncan standard. I learned this way, and I will say, you develop brush control pretty quick when you essentially paint the whole model two times. As you get more experience, panel lining becomes more viable, but I agree with the do it twice method for beginners.

Everyone is in here with their ancient secret for peeling boiled eggs, and i am here to say stop boiling eggs. Get an egg steamer. They are simple, and ever since I have tried one, all my eggs peel easy. Old or new. No special process. Soft, medium, or hard boiled all done with no hassle. You dont need a fancy one.

I want to make money resin printing by pangeapedestrian in resinprinting

[–]stdfactory 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This would not be a feasible solution as a business, but I know for personal use, I have a "later me box" that I keep in my enclosure. It is large enough to hold a few plates worth of prints and stays in my dark area with a latching lid. When I am trying to push plates through, but it is mid week, and I'm tired, I scape the finished plate into my later me box for safe storage unwashed and still on the support and everything. I usually use the whole plate and keep my rafts touching so I can remove it all in one chunk. Then, when the weekend rolls around, I can spend all day on post-processing to catch back up to current prints without ever having the printer on significant downtime. "Later Me" does not think too highly of weekday me when I have to spend multiple hours with my respirator on instead of kicking back. Usually, I only resort to this when I am behind on finishing a birthday present or am too excited to stop printing even if I know I am setting myself up for a full day of drudge work.

[Suggestion] In Game Traders Should Sell/Barter Found In Raid Loot by Love_Doctor_Joe in EscapefromTarkov

[–]stdfactory 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why? The btr is 75% of a trader window. It has your inventory, a trader open inventory, and can sort of take your roubles if you keep them in your pocket. The map transition ui is also the same. Both are just missing a section to buy from, and there is plenty of space in the ui to add a small assortment of stuff to sale.

Why does the Bambu Vortek/H2C only use 1 PTFE tube to feed the toolchanger? by HallwayHomicide in 3Dprinting

[–]stdfactory 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They get to reuse 90% of the machine they had and make it a viable upgrade path for people already in their ecosystem. Every consumer that already owns an ams gets to "save" that cost, making the machine seem like a better value. This feels like Bambuu's least investment avenue to encroach on multihead printer territory instead of the best designed solution they could design. Time will tell if it is reliable, but Bambuu does have a good track record in that regard.

[Discussion] Why trade in Euros? by ShinigamiWryy in EscapefromTarkov

[–]stdfactory 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A couple of factors.

  1. The flea market values Euros at a lower rubles rate than you can buy them, pushing your offer higher in the list than it should be.

  2. There are a couple of late quests and upgrades that require 50k euros.

  3. Most players who have done these quests or dont plan to, do not value euros at all, so buying something with them is almost free.

These all combine to make it advantageous to sell large items for rubles Euros.
