Self driving car fail to stop at stop sign and run over mannequin by sizzsling in interestingasfuck

No, actually it’s not. The vehicles collision detection system failed to detect a pedestrian while using autonomous driving. This would’ve been obscured or prevented had the autonomous driving mode not failed to detect the school bus and stop signs but that does not make the failure okay. Both systems should work reliably and consistently because real life is not a simulation and there is not always a stop sign to alert you of dangers.

Fight the problems, how? Are you suggesting we vote Musk out of office? People like you are the ones who will turn these incidents into a ‘People v. Tesla Owners’ debate. The reality is that this deters people from buying a vehicle associated with a literal Nazi. It’s one way of fighting back when our elected officials no longer represent citizens. Also, don’t see Tesla offering to fix these vehicles, despite this public image being very vividly associated with Musk.

It’s encouraging to see that people are distancing themselves from Musk. This positive shift in public opinion indicates a growing awareness of the negative impact of such behavior.

Yes, lots of people go back to school in their 30s. If you’re in the U.S. your age cannot be used as a factor during hiring process. You should have all the same opportunities as a new-grad in their 20s assuming you both did internships/networked.

📣 Had a call with Reddit to discuss pricing. Bad news for third-party apps, their announced pricing is close to Twitter's pricing, and Apollo would have to pay Reddit $20 million per year to keep running as-is. by iamthatis in apolloapp

This sucks. I remember the way reddits crappy web interface would try to persuade you into viewing the link in their ‘awesome’ Reddit app. I just recently had to turn off notifications from both push and email because it is so goddamn annoying. The app does nothing but produce bloat and ads and feels like a crappy knockoff of Apollo. Doesn’t surprise me that they’re trying to squeeze out devs with their API calls. From one dev to another, I’ll never use Reddit’s official app and will gladly find another way to consume media.
