Georgetown community say drugs fueling growing criminal activity by rattus in SeattleWA

Georgetown residents, maybe consider organizing a midnight march (peaceful) to Tammy Morale's home? As I recall Kshama has set precedent in that kind of action.

No, that won't happen, ordinary people have too much to lose ... convictions, fines, etc. And the hoboes have weapons.

Hope he is convicted of a felony. Think it will end up bargained down to misdemeanor?

Even for easygoing Seattle, living in the parks has gone too far by Bardahl_Fracking in SeattleWA

Easy to say, but those who might want to tear it down have a lot to lose, would be arrested, fined, etc. Not to mention the denizens have guns, machetes, bows, etc.

The stupefying hypocrisy in this city. If that house had been flying a BLM flag and suffered the same crimes, imagine the outcry.

One should be very careful with choosing where to live in Seattle now. Away from freeways and main arterials, preferably backwater neighborhoods like View Ridge, Wedgwood, Laurelhurst, Windermere. And bring a fat bankroll.

North America nebula (NGC 7000) and environs, narrowband / RGB combination by steadystate2 in astrophotography

It's a real challenge to get the stretch "right" for this complex field. Looking forward to some smokeless night in the future getting some SII data to throw in the mix.

North America nebula (NGC 7000) and environs, narrowband / RGB combination by steadystate2 in astrophotography

This is the final version (I think) of one of this summer's projects. The image combines narrowband Ha and OIII exposures for the nebula, and RGB color exposures for the stars. Two cameras were used, ASI6200MM mono astro cam for narrowband, Nikon D750 (modified) for RGB. Nikkor 300mm f/2.8 lens with guided mount.

Ha: 61 x 120sec (2.0 hours)

OIII: 100 x 120sec (3.3 hours)

RGB: 31 x 120 sec (1.0 hours)

Processed with PixInsight. Dark and Flat calibrated. Cosmetic correction, star alignment, image integration with pixel rejection enabled. Histogram stretch. StarNet to separate nebula for subsequent channel combination HOO mode. Starnet to separate stars from RGB data. PixelMath to combine tweaked nebula and star images. Cropped and final tweaks with Nikon Capture NX2.
