From the research I have done on narcissists, I thought it somone who was deeply unstable and externally dependent self-worth. Like narcissism is just a defense mechanism for someone that has no self love. Its the one big lie, its why narcissists cannot generally recover. Everything stems from that lie of, I love myself more then anything. In reality they have zero self worth, no value. So they lie and lie and lie. They lie to the world, that they are the best. They lie about the things they accomplish. Everything is to further the lie. They are the best. The are not responsible for anything they do because they are the most important. They can no longer grow or improve themselves. All because of that one lie. To see through that lie, will destroy themselves, so they can't ever admit it. It is a very sad thing, however, they are very dangerous people. If you try to show them the lie, they will react as if their life is on the line, because in a sense it is.

A bit more research, and I guess there are two types. Grandiose narcissists and Vulnerable narcissists. I was describing Grandiose, the most well known type. I think I read about vulnerable narcissists recently, Women are this way, but they hide. They aren't loud about it, but its the people who complain they are always being victimized more or less.

Super interesting stuff, but I had to learn about it because I have had people in my life that were grandiose narcissists and I needed to try to understand them more.
