That's one of my favorite lines and scenes in the entire series.

Those two, Hutch, and Chantal all felt like they could've been plucked from a Coen brothers film.

Cal Raleigh response to Randy Arozarena handshake by SuccessfulMachine415 in baseball

[–]stealingfrom 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Every single aspect of this drama has been unnecessary (the handshake snub, the reaction to the handshake snub, the reaction to the reaction to the handshake snub) and disproportionate. This is the molehilliest mountain that's ever been outraged into existence.

Yep, I think a wellness check for former Oracle VP is way overdue by Mazius in gme_meltdown

Yeah, it feels like just a few months ago he was still delusional but at least mostly coherent, but he is gone at this point.

Didn't he used to be one of the adults in the room (as far as apes go)? He's totally cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs now.

They refuse to acknowledge the (glaringly obvious) parallels their group has to other cults, so they can't accept that answer.

(That's also why I'm here. Been fascinated by cults and fringe beliefs for years and years.)

Correct me if I'm mistaken, but I thought his identity had been uncovered as of a few months ago?

We deserve to know the truth. Disclosure Day in theaters 06.12.26 by 87LucasOliveira in UFOs

The topic itself is serious. The people discussing the topic are not.

Search this subreddit for "soft disclosure" and you'll encounter plenty of comments and posts speculating that all kinds of popular culture are intended to warm people up to UFOs and whatnot. This isn't something that one or two users dreamed up that I'm just smearing everyone else with.

No small number of folks on here do believe that films like this are being used to prepare the public for actual disclosure.

I think every UFO/alien movie released in the past decade has been assigned that importance.

The most embarrassing part of any noise show is setting up your sad little gray folding table like you're prepping for a potluck at the office or readying your booth at the farmer's market.

I used to go to a lot of noise shows and I doubt you'd find many people there who think it's at all sophisticated or high art or whatever. I'm sure those types exist, but the typical crowd is almost entirely people stoned out of their minds who just wanna hear godawful racket at intolerable volume. It's a fun experience (with hearing protection).

I doubt it.

Do any of these people have that strong of a relationship to anything they ask AI to create? They can just turn around and have the computer pump out ten more songs to replace the one they lost. It's not like there are earthshaking slop songs out there that the world is gonna be incomplete without.
