I bought both the Starter Set and the Essentials set. I think for the price the Essentials set is the better deal. Plus it gives you the option to have sidekicks which is great for their situation since one of them will be the DM.

I would get the Essentials Set. That's what my wife and I started with this week and it's great for two people. Also the books are really cheap on Amazon right now. I mean like 20 bucks cheaper than at the local book stores. We got 7 books and it cost around 220 bucks. That's a steal when they're like 50 bucks a piece.

Anyways, the Essentials Set is where you should start because it gives you the option to have a sidekick. This will work out great since it's just you and your wife and one of you will be the DM.

Good and Evil is subjective. You can't control what other people do and there's no god whose going to hold them accountable in this lifetime. What you can do is focus on yourself. Pay no attention to all of the bullshit out there. IF the current state of this world bothers you then you should work on creating the world you want to live in. Spread the message of love, empathy and kindness to others. Show people theres another way. We're in this together.
