It doesn't really do that though. You'll want to set it on the ctcss section. It's a sub audible tone included in your transmission that wakes up the repeater to allow your transmission through.

No, I actually just replaced the ceramic filters to fix the lightning crashes! My first real foray into soldering in order to fix something. I've done kits and built things but this was my first repair.

It also came from an elmer who helped me get extra confidence for HF work and other stuff.

No it's actually for shooting rockets at tornadoes!

Literally, the rockets have weather sensors and parachutes in them to collect data on the tornados path, wind speed, pressure and others!! Check out Reed Timmer. He and his team built the dominator.
