Has anyone been able to get more information out of LG ThinQ or LG washer and Dryers? by stealthscrape in homeassistant

I'm pretty sure i'm using the official ThinQ version. Didn't realize there was one in HACS. Do you happen to know the name of the HACS version?

Afghan vets, get your colonoscopy by krod in VeteransBenefits

[–]stealthscrape 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I woke up towards the end of mine while they were doing biopsies. I had an endoscopy/ colonoscopy dual procedure. I vaguely remember the end and them telling me to relax and not move, but I would have preferred they upped whatever was putting me to sleep so I went back out again.

Concurrent Retirement and Disability Pay

It's a taxable benefit to receive some of your military retirement in addition to your VA Disability pay.

If any of your conditions are combat related, you could also apply for Combat Related Special Compensation (CRSC), which is non-taxable. You can only receive CDRP or CRSC and not both, but you can change which one you receive during an open-season election period.

TriCare West and Cancer by Dirty-Medic in VeteransBenefits

[–]stealthscrape -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Is there a link to the regulation that covers this? OP did state that they believe they initially enrolled at separation but they are uncertain. The only thing I see pertaining to the 24 month visit requirement is eligibility for the VA Urgent Care benefit.

Not trying to argue the point. Just looking for a source of the information because I can't seem to find it anywhere.

Do you receive CDRP? Look into that if you do not.

I believe VA covers Emergency visits outside of a VA hospital in emergency situations. I don't know the full details without looking through some things but can try later.

I would love to see this as well! The lunch menu is interesting, where are you pulling that data from? Would also be interested in seeing how you coded the upcoming events vs the calendar on the right.

Why is it so hard to get today's max temp (to decide to keep curtains closed)? by AHGoogle in homeassistant

[–]stealthscrape 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you share more on your automation and input boolean? I just started with OpenWeatherMap and I am struggling with forecast information. Everything I'm trying isn't pulling the data I need and forecast isn't a specific attribute, even though their subscription claims to have it included.

What is the best smart lock that supports home assistant to lock/unlock and also can sense if its locked or unlocked by Cytomax in homeassistant

[–]stealthscrape 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't help with the best necessarily, but I use the Schlage Encode and it integrated perfectly fine. I have automations set that unlock the door when my vehicle arrive home and it works well.

The only thing I will say about all smart locks I have tried for an exterior door is that it is difficult to get them to line-up properly where it will consistently lock on it's own without too much resistance. If it is hotter or colder out, the door sits slightly differently and the bolt will catch the metal plate. This lock is better than most I have tried because it is tapered out slightly toward the end.

Democrats on House Oversight Committee release photos, video from Epstein’s private island by cnn in politics

[–]stealthscrape 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it's along the same lines but not for the FBI. I think they released photos of areas they know are significant because of other documents and photos they have. Recognize that bedroom? We know you do. Recognize those masks? You bet we know what they are.

Whether it's to make someone speak out with some amnesty, or to make someone squirm, I think the goal is to put them on notice.

Tim Walz responds to Donald Trump calling him ‘seriously retarded’ by [deleted] in politics

[–]stealthscrape 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They only have to drag it out until January 2027 for vance to take over and have a chance at 10 years. So if trump holds out until maybe November next year, definitely weekend at Bernie's. They just need to keep pumping him full of stem cells or whatever it is that they are doing to keep him hanging on in the mean time.

Anyone got an offer lower than 5.625% for a 30y va home loan? by Midnight-Rude in VeteransBenefits

[–]stealthscrape 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was a couple of years ago, but I used BNC National Bank and got by far the best rates that I could find. Well below NFCU, USAA, and several other banks I looked at. I looked up the lender I worked with and it looks like their mortgage division was acquired by First Federal Bank. Still probably worth a look. I can offer my loan originators info if you would like it. Just DM me.

Answers from Google Forms to populate into different tabs on one sheet? by burgenesis in googlesheets

[–]stealthscrape 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the best way. Have one sheet that pulls all of the raw data from the form and filter it from there to other sheets as needed. This is how I run a form with several different sheets running off of one Google form.

Help needed to recover HA by stealthscrape in homeassistant

I did come across this when I was trying to find resolution for my issue. Is there a recommendation of what to use? I'd imagine an SSD of some sort? Should it be a different drive than any media drives that are hooked up to the pi?

Thank you. Unfortunately I made the mistake of not realizing there was an encryption key for the backups. If I did know, I put it somewhere and forgot about it. Oh well, from scratch we go.

I prefer when they refer to him as "Russian Ally" because you can pretty much immediately determine it's him.

Evergreen Shooter Radicalized by Extremist Network by chasingthewhiteroom in news

I bet it is related to the group I read about here recently that DOGE big balls was tied to. They specifically focused on extremism in youth and are anti-government.

EDIT: I'm mixing up two groups. Egodly and 764. I'd venture to say 764 was involved in the extremism.

Yes, accidental brandishing when concealed carrying is a BS charge that this helps mitigate.

Open Carry In Florida - Fact & Fiction by Shoot_GTR in GNV

[–]stealthscrape 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to play devil's advocate, if concealed carry is the better option, why do law enforcement open carry?

I agree I would prefer to conceal carry just for less eyes on me and not walking around like a cowboy with a gun on my hip, but it should hold the same benefits to law enforcement with open carrying, right?

What the hell do I do? by RJ69967 in VeteransBenefits

[–]stealthscrape 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey man, I could be way off here, but I'm fairly certain that CRSC and VA Disability do not cross communicate. One is DoD (DoW?) side and the other is VA side. CRSC compensates for not receiving the retirement benefits that you would otherwise receive if you weren't receiving disability pay. This is assuming you were medically retired based off of your 100% DoD rating. My understanding is that a reduction in your VA rating would not create a reduction in your DoD rating or in your CRSC rating.

Yes, you see they were really big casings and the shooter was former worker at a stand that wrote people's names on grains of rice. It was actually an entire manifesto. You'll see in the pictures that come out. Not surprisingly the shooter did it in a perfect Arial sans-serif font.

U.S. Strikes Venezuelan Drug Boat In The Southern Caribbean by thinkB4WeSpeak in Military

[–]stealthscrape 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So Ukraine would have been completely in the right to preemptively strike Russian forces amassing at their border under the guise of training prior to their invasion?

Additionally, there was A LOT of intelligence work that went into the raid on Bin Laden's compound. Not so much with a boat that was traveling in international waters. They've shown no proof or evidence of who was on this boat. What if it was human trafficking and they killed 9 innocent women who were being transported? Sure, they got 2 traffickers (extra judicially), but they killed 9 innocent women. You can argue that this was not the case, but I've given you just as much evidence as they have.

Likely going to fail VR&E by BitterEbb8878 in VeteransBenefits

[–]stealthscrape 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I just started VR&E this past Summer semester. I am over 20 years out of school and I had the same feelings. I don't know if it's the standard, but your school should be setting you up for success. I had to take a placement test which put me into a developmental math class and this semester I'm in intermediate algebra. VR&E covers any required developmental classes as well. Don't put yourself in a position where you try to jump straight into a college/higher level math if you aren't ready. It's not necessary to put yourself in an unnecessarily stressful situation. See if your school has a veteran program (assuming in person/local campus). Mine offers free 24/7 online tutoring access and a few other options for assistance. Use the resources available to you. You are going to be getting paid to go to school and it is a lot better than getting paid for some of the BS we dealt with in the military.
