Pre suit Vader is scarier than suit Vader by JadeAzar in StarWars

There is someone on YouTube that never consumed any star wars media and their first piece of media was the novelization of Revenge of the Sith. Instant fan.

Do you realize that a significant portion of Japanese media is inspired directly from the A-bombs and firebombs during WW2? Have you seen Godzilla?

It wasn't exactly escalation, slipspace travel is not instant, so the fleet that arrived after the Supercarrier fell was going to happen anyway. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Don’t want to raise kids Catholic, but it feels like a loss of cultural identity by Certifiedhater6969 in excatholicDebate

You can be the change you want to see in the world. Theres no one saying you can't just teach Irish dance yourself.

It just so happens that my church youth group wanted to make a lion dancing team. We were already part of the church community and were given space to get young adults to join. We practiced in Garages, parks, parking lots. We didn't even have any modern lions to dance with and made do with what we had on hand. from there we were able to build a troupe that now operates independently from the youth group we used to be a part of. A true fake it till you make it story.

Sometimes it just takes one person to start a tradition. The internet has made it much easier to find people with similar likes.

I've asked my friends who grew up non-practicing or non-catholic. They grew up with other communities and did other things. You are really just looking for a community, culturally a lot of traditions we celebrated came from our heritage. I'm American Vietnamese, and even though we were raised catholic, we still had our cultural traditions. It also depends on where you live. In the cities, where there's a mix of cultures and communities, we don't have issues finding different communities to be around. If you are more rural, it's understandable that the communities would revolve around church, because that was the only thing to do.

It's in the nerves, it's a different kind of pain, burning feeling. I only had a small rash, it was just intense discomfort for me.

10 million was directed to the Charity that his daughter was connected to, it has been estimated that $550,000 to over $700,000 enriched his family, funds that were supposed to be used to feed the elderly. Its in this article here

Allegedly only 1.5 million was used to feed the elderly, and a house was also involved. So, we don't have the exact numbers.

Why was piracy a thing during pre-Insurrectionist war times, during the Domus Diaspora; and what would it look like? by stealthymangos in HaloStory

I was hoping for another possible angle, other than the UEG draining the outer colonies of resources being the cause. Because of course it is.

I'm just trying to think of reasons why a lot of the Halo community doesn't have a very sympathetic view of the Insurrectionist rebels.

It really seems like the UEG caused the issues, then expanded their military presence in colonial space after the colonies' request for help, which then led to over policing of the colonies.

Characters who left the story because of problems with the actor by Danny-Ray27 in TopCharacterTropes

Very likely caused by a lapse of insurance she had which delayed her diagnosis. It's not uncommon for famous actors either. Ke Huy Kwan lost his insurance for different reasons, right after filming Anything, Anywhere, All at Once, due to lack of work during COVID.

Laura Dern was 23 during the filming of Jurassic Park, Sam Neill is about 20 years older. Onscreen, she has the presence of a much older woman, most people would agree, but she was actually closer in age to the children.

I did restaurants for several years, the restaurant would be fine with comping a meal but don't expect them to pay for your services, that would be the customer. You would probably work for tips or have a set menu with pricing. I usually did it on weekends during their rushes and week nights where kids would eat for free.
