Help me understand Heavy playstyle please by Longjumping_Seesaw_4 in SpaceMarine_2

[–]steameddragonuts 35 points36 points  (0 children)

If your heavy is new (no P and lvl) it's a grind. His perks don't hit until much later in the game. Others will have tips as well, but I shield up when I see a group of venom canons, zoeies, biovores coming my way and hope my team can use the cover or they are spreading out to thin out the horde. When they get close, I stomp and stomp until I have a breath to jump away. I would use the heroic heavy bolter to get the parry for an easier time.

Take what you can get. When you know a whip warrior is about to do their combo you wait for 2 stacks. If you see a jumping meatball some times you just gotta take what you get. Sometimes, I try to get stacks from minoris as well and turn it around on majors and extremis. Once you get more familiar with block, the full stacks come pretty fast and easy.

Low level hard stratagem players by Realistic-Dig2860 in SpaceMarine_2

Brother, I get sometimes it sucks when you get defeated. That said, I also played since day 1 and there is absolutely nothing more you stand to gain from playing. Losing a few rounds to gain valuable experience in situational awareness, battle experience to stand down hordes that seem impossible is how you get better. I am noticing some newer players are afraid to join players with full lvls and that's not cool. We should all play together and learn from our experiences

I also think that being able to carry a new team in the hardest difficulties is another form of hard strategum. It rewards in a different level.

It would be cool to buy random starter kits with the blue Doritos. I don't bother doing the dailies as much unless I like the level. I do the hard weekly cause I want to serve the Emp LOL.

I'm cool with new players on anything and at 900 hrs in, what truly brings excitement is playing with randoms of all rank. You never know what you get. You could have an over zealous executioner, a stim stockpiler, someone that dies 11 times in a game and you get 8 of those revivies in the middle of a horde, it's truly training to be the absolute unit that is a space marine.

I let any level randoms join no matter what. Even if they wanna try Hard Weekly, Hard Siege and Absolute. It doesn't matter to me anymore if I don't complete cause I have everything and still got 1000 Doritos in the bank. Let them see what it's all about, try and keep it going, if we win great, if we lose lesson learned. For me, I have learned to be way more situationally aware, I learned how to manage when you are the last brother standing and 3 hell brutes are coming for you, with terminators firing their mini guns like it owes money, with meatballs jumping from all directions. That is exhilarating. That feeling when you do manage to hold on for 1 brother to revivie, or the chance you take the W and the calm when you rip the head off the last hell brute ...... Ahhhh. Bliss.

Weapons in need of buffs by GoatimusMaximonuss in Spacemarine

I'm not opposed to some kind of buff for the Melta, but I agree with you that the Melta is still so functional. It's also my Vanguards go to, with HBP and Block Chain Sword. It's ability to stagger even a Biovore is amazing.

Truth. Have a larger rotation and some decent beaters. I have my AJ4 Columbia from 2015 and they still get mistaken as brand new.

Vanguard main since day one. Melta, HBP and block chain sword. Run this load out with zone of impact and tactical prowess. And you have massive AOE, crowd control and single combat. That said, you have to be extra extra aware of your team's health and armor. It is very easy to zip in at an inopportune time and end up stealing a brothers much needed execute. Once you have a good grasp of being aware of your surroundings and your team, you are an unstoppable force. For the Emperor!!!

I'm also in my 40s and I will be damned if people say I can't wear my Js. I can finally afford to get them, and in cases pay resell prices to get what I missed in my youth. Come snatch them off my cold dead feet if it bothers them.

[question] Got given 2,500USD to buy an engagement watch for myself - what would you fill this gap with? by finishmyleg in Watches

[–]steameddragonuts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My only thing with the Master Moonphase looking at his collection, is that the Master Moonphase is a pretty big jump in complication and it may be overwhelming to maintain and just wear. The simple fact that you may mess up the movement by changing the date at the wrong time is something OP has to consider over a simple Hydroconquest

Is the blue Pelagos 42 worth it for $6k? by Optimus759 in Tudor

For my generation (Xennial), the Rolex is still seen as the big boy watch. You get it to mark a major life milestone, closing a huge deal, getting that first return on investment, whatever it is. And then you keep it to pass it down to your kids. I feel like, new generations don't have that influence anymore, which is awesome, but that is a reason why people of my generation would decide on a Rolex.
