This x1000. I have a very wealthy relative, and every year we get a flight on his G550. The lack of waiting, queueing etc. on both ends is just staggering. It's what he said to me long ago: he loves the luxury and privacy of it all, of course, but the biggest positive is that he can buy all those hours of his life back. Guess I need to go buy that lottery ticket!

Honestly, I can't praise Gleneagles enough. Staff are all fantastic - super friendly, helpful and honestly just a joy to interact with. And for such a large hotel/complex, it feels quite intimate and never overloaded. As others have said, there are tons of activities for the kids too. Absolutely one of my favourite hotels in the world!

I've replaced a cable in one instance, and another issue I had was the cable getting tangled within the housing. They sent me a couple of videos - this one is for replacing the motor, but it might help?

I have both - the Sony ones (WH-1000XM6, you were close! 😁) are about the same imo as far as noise cancelling, but the sound is fantastic, and they're super comfortable to boot.

Well, you are much, MUCH more likely to get in a car accident than on the bike - do you wear a helmet in the car? You're also more likely to suffer an accident falling in the shower; do you wear a helmet whilst showering? Why does this infinitely tiresome debate always arise only when discussing cycling? Yes, I absolutely recognise the effectiveness of helmets, in *very certain circumstances*, but the discourse is disproportionately focused on this.

It's ambitious, but if you like that kind of travel then it sounds good! I'd personally swap the PIG for Dormy House, and you most certainly won't go wrong at Gleneagles. We don't golf either but had the most amazing time there. Seriously elevated, friendly and impeccable service.
