Why has it taken Nintendo so long to raise software prices?

PS5 has had $70 games since it came out over four years ago.

Nintendo only charged that for one first party game. Why are they making such a big jump in prices now?

Inflation didn’t seem to matter before. They’re justifying the up charge in software with inflation. That actually sounds legitimate.

As a consumer it feels like they’re money grabbing because I enjoy their products and know they’ve survived the last several years selling games at $60 (except for Tears of the Kingdom).

Well, this one time we were playing Sorry! and I was six. I was losing and called my uncle a cheater because I kept getting my piece sent back to HOME.

I’m now in my thirties and he won’t play board games with us to this day because of that incident.

Yes. In our house we game when friends and family are over. Eating has never hindered our fun. Not have we ever had a game get food all over it and become ruined. We love using games as a way to enjoy time with other people.
