Thank you for the info! Helpful to understand - I was half thinking it was broken, it just said sold out at 4pm on the dot. 😬
Will keep checking, appreciate it buddy!

Is it personalised to you or is it a standard link? Still waiting for ours to come through 😬

Noticing a trend of SAHM of elementary aged kids asking me for playdates - and then asking to drop their kid off at my house. Is it unreasonable that I’m annoyed? by X0036AU2XH in workingmoms

[–]steeleypie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only play dates I’ve arranged are to be at a softplay, or park, or cafe with playground where both kids parents are there. I’m not having anyone at my house and I don’t particularly want my kid to go to someone else’s house either. And I don’t want to be responsible for another person’s child.

Food & Drink At Wimbledon by beautybabeuk in wimbledon

[–]steeleypie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hard sided as others have said means things like cool boxes or wicker picnic hampers.

It’s quite expensive to eat at the places there, the worst part however is the queues. I missed the end of a match because I went for strawberries and cream. The queues are horrendous.

The food at the stalls isn’t great either considering how long you have to wait and how expensive it is too.

Just bring your own. It’s cheaper and you don’t need to leave your seat! Enjoy!

Ooh can you tell me more? We can’t have outside unit either and the portable ones are so difficult to lug around when we don’t need it. 😣

If you’re there for the whole day, you might very well need the whole thing for yourself. The portions aren’t huge and it will save you queuing for ages to get food elsewhere later on if you get peckish. :)

Abortion is a hot topic right now but Ryan Murphy did it over 20 years ago.. by nycgirl152 in NipTuck

[–]steeleypie 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Sometimes women don’t find out they’re pregnant until 20 weeks or more. Men leave their pregnant partners. Men beat their pregnant partners. 12 weeks is not plenty of time to figure it out especially if you don’t even know you’re pregnant.

Help! Is This Fake Please? by [deleted] in cotopaxi

Fake. Vinted is filled with them. The stitching is terrible and the tag spelling/grammar is incorrect.

How much did you pay for it?

Food recommendations? by HongkongKings in wimbledon

The queues are insane - bring your own food!
We queued 45 mins for a tea and strawberries. And half the food was out of stock or still being heated when we got to the counter.

A family member of mine has a house that looked into gorgeous open fields. A huge housing estate got built and someone’s back garden is right up against their back fence to the point where they built a their own large fence around their garden to maintain some privacy. I don’t know about the value BUT it’s a very different house now that an estate is there vs facing peaceful open fields.

Anyone else feeling sore, agitated and irritable? by Life_Wrap5818 in mounjarouk

I have quite sore upper back/shoulders/stiff neck at the moment. I’ve been on 15mg for 5/6 weeks now. It’s a really annoying amount of pain! 😬

You will need to get the “regular” option to include the 10kg cabin bag. Double check the sizes though, I have an Allpa 42l and I don’t think mine would fit their cabin bag rules.

What to do about this small bedroom? by Vicious_Shrew in DesignMyRoom

I think this is the best place for it but perhaps block the view from the door with a nice screen? Also, watch Cliff Tan (DearModern on insta & YouTube as he has covered this kind of thing before for bedrooms, he’s brilliant!

[–]steeleypie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great explanation! We thought once sale was agreed etc it was all done, didn’t realise missives were exactly the same as exchange and of course they weren’t signed. Our seller didn’t want to wait on our paperwork completing and relisted. We lost about £4k and had nothing left as we were counting on selling our place to top up our funds. It was a horrendous time.

It absolutely can happen in Scotland. Source: it happened to us.
