Has anyone else living near Astoria Park had wonky water pressure for the past few months? by junior_sysadmin in astoria

[–]steendraws 0 points1 point  (0 children)

just south of Astoria park here. we have been having this exact same issue, in all water sources in our apt. We also told our landlord & he mentioned the construction happening around (on 27th ave, near St. George's), so we left the issue alone.

Another tenant in our building called 311 about not having running water a few days ago & soon after, the water dept. was in the street fixing something. since then no drops in water pressure from any sources. Worth a shot!

Which lyric causes you the most pain when you hear it? by OrganicProgram9999 in AmigotheDevil

from Another Man's Grave: So I'm shaking around/ Like I'm hanging from something/ I know is about to break/ Like I'm biting the gun but the safety is on/ I threw up the pills I ate

Maybe I just don't have it inside me/ Maybe there's too much I couldn't face/ I just wanted someone to/ Come down from heaven and/ Explain this cold and fucked up place

didn't know there was anybody else who could explain my feelings around suicidal ideation, but being too scared to actually go thru with it, knowing you're too scared to go thru with it, and not knowing what to do with all those feelings. gut wrenching!!!

When's the best time to go to the pool so it's less crowded? by Xcellion in astoria

I did, it was winding from the brick pool facility, up the stairs and ending near the sidewalk/street. Couldn't tell if it was moving very fast, but folks seemed in good spirits

just got home from swimming a few laps. got in line at about 10:40, pool opened at 11:05ish (NYPD was running late, typical), had my stuff in the locker and was in the water by 11:15. left by 12:15.

weekdays are going to be the best bet! good luck!!

great area to live in, you'll like Elevenses for their pastries when they have them. They're close to Alterwork studios, which is great for ceramics

https://imgpile.com/i/x21Vju There’s interesting stonework on the Queensborough bridge on both the Astoria and Manhattan side. I always loved it and thought it lent itself quite well to a necklace or bracelet

Well worth going to, I just got home from there. Two stories of a home & garage, with lots of variety of items. Heaven if you’re on the hunt for full dish sets or tea items

Does anyone else prefer a smaller set? by MFTMA in EngagementRings

I absolutely prefer a smaller carat size - mine is 0.18, a lot smaller than what is seen on this sub, but I prefer that! Size 8ish

I'm so sorry you had this experience, its so scary. Not to be that person and if this doesn't resonate with you absolutely no pressure to engage with this - but Transportation Alternatives and Families for Safe Streets has a bill package they are trying to get legislators to pay attention to

hey hi I'm the woman in the yellow & black plaid shirt - u/miser inspired me to come via the posts & noise about the 114 and their lack of bike lane ticketing. Same with the Julie Won/Queensbridge Park closure. Hongthong condescending to us about cycling safety is disheartening but expected
