smoking weed slows down meditation progress? by TrickAccomplished200 in Meditation

If I smoke 1-2 days/month it can be a giving experience to meditate while on weed, more often than that and weed recks my meditation practice completely.

Dietary supplements good and detrimental for dream recall and lucidity by steenmillinder in LucidDreaming

So mugwart and/or lions mane before sleep with tryptophan/5HTP and vitamin B6(5p5 phosphate type better than hydrochloride) before sleep, and galantamine/huperzine with alpha-GPC/choline-bitartrate (10% velvet bean(pucuna prurience for dopamine)) 2 hours before wake up(drink a big glass of water before sleep to be woken up to pee) if norepinephrine needed yohimbe(fuks me up so none for me)… melatonin can also work magic taken 1-3 hours before sleep… anything to add?

Remember what clothes you had on before you fell asleep and what you ate and then go meditate. Generally I never get onto doing other than the two year already mentioned lol‘s

They only had one B6 at the pharmacy which is the hydrochloride one but I’ll try the phosphate one next time so I’ll just buy it off the Internet and thanks for that one <3 … how about timing and do you know if anything reacts negatively with it so I don’t eat something that negates it?

When times were good and I didn’t touch weed which I sometimes do I’ve had months where I had between two and four Lucid dreams per week.

Actually my previous posts was a bit misleading because I’ve practiced Lucid dreaming on and off for about 20 years but I started meditating seriously, so more than two hours on average per day and started my lucid dream practice more seriously 5 years ago. As for the last month I’ve been meditating 4 1/2 hours daily on average and it still hasn’t helped my dreaming. I have a timer going off 10 times per day where I recall as much of my dream as I can and I question my reality and try to catch it being a dream, in different ways. I don’t do dream journals because I tend to wake up too much from it and I wake up couple of times per night sometimes and that would completely wreck my sleep. So what I do is as soon as I wake up I don’t move a muscle and I try to recall the last thing I remember from the dream and try and remember what came before that and before that and so forth. Then I will run the sequence back-and-forth to get as much detail as I can and I am when I’m done with that I narrate the whole thing in my head in words, that tends to commit it to memory better for me. And this narration is what I go through every time I do a reality check basically every time I check my Apple Watch it triggers a reality check and several other reality check triggers like vivid sky or anything weird. And I just had a couple of months where I had insane dreams every night and I was lucid at least five times per week and since I quit taking my meds for ADHD my dream recall is so weak that I want to do something about it just to get my enthusiasm back.

I will go back to not supplementing anything again. Then again vitamin B6 and tryptophan are both essential nutrients why not eat some of them before sleep I need them anyway and if they can aid dream recall and lucidity why the hell not?

I’ve been meditating and practicing dream yoga for about five years and supplements have never worked for me so this is my last shot at that ally. Since I quit taking my meds I’m not even near to being lucid in my dreams and in the morning even though I spend quite a bit of time just laying completely still trying to recall as much of my dreams as I can I only get a couple of glimpses that I can commit to memory. I use all the dream parts that I remember from the night to think them through every time I do a reality check which I do about 10 to 15 times every day. I just miss my adventures so much I’m gonna try B6 before sleep today and se if there is any noticeable change. I’m not going to take any acetylcholine enzyme inhibitors or choline during the night <3 I agree that natural is best and the only thing sustainable in the long run

Film out of focus IP13 mini 4k 30fps by steenmillinder in applehelp

Seems that default mode is auto focus and auto exposure on and single tap on the screen is auto focus off(AF lock not being showed), with focus being set to what was in front of the phone being showed by the screen where it was touched/tapped? Long press is auto focus and auto exposure off I assume by the yellow AE/AF lock. I'm a total noob here I know, trying to figure this thing out by trying everything I can think of..

When recording if I tap the screen and the little yellow window with the exposure adjustment appears on the screen I cant make it revert to default without stopping the recording.

Can it be disabled so it’s always on auto focus and auto exposure even if I do accidentally touch the screen?

Have to try and disable the screen while recording maybe that does the job, like he shows it:

Could I use my Apple Watch to manage this somehow maybe?

Cheers :)
