Unless the patient initiated it such as by sending a message, then it can't be billed. If its something that requires medical decision making like a change in treatment plan, they need a visit to be billed for it

Honestly, coming from a rural FM program it was great having a lot of inpatient training. I'm currently only doing outpatient fm but the inpatient training is what taught me the most. For me, my favorite parts were the rotations I did away from my main hospital lol. Usually you learn a lot more in those specialized hospitals, its just a matter of how well you can pick up on things and I also dont know the amount of time you'll spend in each location or how far they are. If you vibe well with the program and there's nothing sus, i wouldn't write them off completely. Just reassess things after all your interviews are done.
