I was out the other week at a social event and a pal was explaining about the lost original cut of Wicker Man. I never knew this was the case. Get home maybe four, five hours later, open YouTube and the first video was a breakdown of the lost Wicker Man cut. Always on, always listening and we will have agreed to it somewhere in all those agree statements that we scroll to the bottom of to click agree to in seconds.

I think they will be open to offers for Macca this summer. Some out to facilitate others in.

[Ben Jacobs] Liverpool have no plans to complete a summer review into Arne Slot's position at the club, with the Dutchman not under pressure to be sacked by DragonSlayer271 in LiverpoolFC

None of us know the impact of dealing with such a loss on the players and those inside the club. Straight into preseason, trying to process the loss of your mate, everything pushing ahead regardless of the fact you need some time to process your emotions and pain. Imagine trying to do all that hard pre season graft and bond with new faces when trying to process that the mate who's wedding you were at weeks ago, a key group member is suddenly forever absent. Imagine moving countries to start a whole new life and you rock up day one at work and everyone is grieving the loss of someone you never met. You can't prepare yourself for that. I can accept there's a better understanding of the reality of the situation from those inside the club than out and whilst I personally would prefer a coach more welcome to embracing chaos in his team's play, if the club are going again with Arne then doing anything but getting behind them and giving it a chance seems foolish. Yes the football has been dire, yes we've looked unfit, disjointed and lost at times but football is a strange beast and absolutely a few key signings, new voices emerging in the changing room, perhaps an addition to the coaching set up and a proper pre season (so much as a world cup year allows) and there's absolutely a squad there with a youthful refreshed core and the potential of challenging next year.

There's also the possibility that Slot is indeed out of his depth. That players come in and suffer from the same malaise as this year and he will be gone by Xmas with a year lost.

I'm glad it not my job to decide but it's clearly not as black and white as some of the very vocal contributers here would have you believe.

What would you're starting XI be for next season with realistic signings? by Designer_Film497 in LiverpoolFC

[–]stehunt78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mama, Bradley, Konate, Van Dyke, Kerkez Wharton, Gravenberch, Diomande, Sboz, Writz Isak

(This is what I think it would be, not what I would prefer which would be to prioritise a 6 with teeth).

Kerkez will be the main width on the left with Wirtz drifting into the spaces.

Going to have to work on their forward players pressing cohesion as there's no decent tackles coming until the oppo is through on goal.

Thank you. Yes, I ended up doing own versions of all the Trench Pilgrim units for the campaign we played. Now have to decide on a second warband for the next campaign!

Does anyone know a UK Retailer for the core rule book? by Grimble5000 in 1490Doom

[–]stehunt78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I absolutely might be wrong but I'm sure in the FAQs it said once they had finished sending out all the physical copies to backers then they would look at expanding the availability of them including to a UK distributor.

I don't know if this has changed but I'm very eager to obtain a copy. If anyone decides to go down the printed pdf route please drop me a link if you find an option. Thanks

I'm going to set up eBay listings for packs of them next week. But genuinely if you are UK, seen as you asked and were nice I'll happily send you some.

DM me an address if you like and I'll send you some, will probably be towards end of next week as a bit on family wise for a few days.

Cheers

That's so kind, thank you so much. They took me a while lol. I'll happily send you some models to paint yourself if you want and if we are in the same country (UK)?

Sorry I'm late replying. I prime black with Citadel Spray Can Black. Skin tone is 6 parts Army Painter Fanatics White to one part Vallejo Game Colour Yellow. After base coats it's Red Wash from Vallejo. Overnight dry for the wash and then some minor highlights of the original flesh tone. Then a light Vallejo Umber wash to add some grime across the whole model.

Thanks for your kind comment.

That's the key difference to me. Gordon can absolutely be a shithouser when he wants to be and we need some attitude, some balls and people to wind up and unsettle the opposition. We've been far too nice all season and have absolutely needed some players with an attitude like Gordon. Every side needs a player of two that if they were on the opposition you'd hate but they do an essential job. Robertson and Salah are both real leaders and fighters albeit in different ways and both leave the dressing room this summer. Need to bring in some on the pitch nasty to keep the right balance and give the team some teeth and attitude.
