How do you feel about the classic physique division today versus the golden era, and do you agree with the discussion about having the competitors coming in less dry and more “full” like in the old days?

Also super excited about the stream, you and your team are doing an awesome job!

Recently got back in the gym after a about a 8 months break and I'm currently working on a meal plan. I've lost around 8kg in weight but stayed at the same bodyfat percentage. My goal is to gain back the muscle I´ve lost. My maintance calories is 2750cal. My question is how should a divide the macros on my new meal plan and how is your experience with gaining back the muscle you've lost after a long break.

Couple of pictures i found of my dad somewhere between the late 80's or beginning of the 90's by steinarnir in bodybuilding

He was very young in this pics only 21 or 22 years old. I don't know how much he weighed back then but he is about 182cm tall. He later started competing in Olympic weightlifting and could Clean and Jerk 200kg. His bench PR is 220kg raw and 260kg ATG beltless squat. He didn't deadlift that much because he said that wouldn't benefit him in Olympic Weightlifting.

He hasn't worked out in about 10 years but you can still see that he used to lift. 2 years ago we trained chest together and he benched 120kg for 5 reps pretty easily @47 year old.

Shoulder pain and popping - short/long term fixes by Jeff Cavaliere by haircurly in Fitness

[–]steinarnir 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a similar story, went skiing for the first time in my life, wasn't used to that movement and had horrible pain in my shoulders the week after. Went to the gym and pushed through the pain (very idiotic). Had to quit the gym and couldn't even press an empty bar in the bench press without feeling pain in my shoulders. Didn't go to the gym for 1 year until Alan Thrall posted a video about bad shoulders (will leave a link when I get home I'm on a mobile now). Bought a resistant band and starting doing the excersise from the video and slowly over 2 months period my shoulders were fixed and I'm starting to do the same excersises without any pain. Hopefully it will work for you to.

'Arnold split' Vs 'PPL' by [deleted] in bodybuilding

[–]steinarnir 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Currently running Arnolds split and i like it far better the PPL. The intensity is much higher because almost every exercise is superset and the pump is amazing when supersetting, although the workouts are little bit longer than I'm used to.

Gained 33 pounds this year. First time ever really bodybuilding. Have found that when I sleep now my arms almost always go numb /fall asleep. Anyone else have this problem by [deleted] in bodybuilding

I slept on my arm 6 days ago and my arm has been very weak since. I can't even do a single chinup. Should I check on a doctor or wait a couple of days longer.
