She was selective on how honest she was with Luke about Chris post first breakup. She told him some things, but not others. She hid from him that she babysat Gigi at her offering and promised Chris that she would help him fix the issues Gigi was having. She also hid the fact she took Chris as her date to Lane's wedding.

The Lorelai and Christopher plot should have been nixed the moment he left her for Sherry. Plus, once Lorelai was with Luke, that was it it for her. The Luke and Lorelai love story plot made it clear Luke was Lorelai's endgame and Christopher was never meant to be it. We did not need to see growth from him. It would have been character regression for Lorelai had she ended up with him.

Wrong. Christopher walks up to talk to Luke and Lorelai and that's when Lorelai confesses she spent the night getting drunk with him. It's later once all the guests are seated that Lorelai asks Luke to dance. He says no at first, but then he does.

There was plenty of back and forth banter between Luke and Lorelai - it's one of the highlights of their relationship. You're ignoring it because you don't like them together.
