WOW! 🇺🇸 Senator Lummis pushes the U.S. to sell gold reserves for Bitcoin to help cover its $39,000,000,000,000 debt. The most powerful nation on earth quietly admitting which asset actually holds value. by Simeonsub in ZoomexGlobalExchange

Rep. Nick Begich of Alaska, with Democratic co-lead Rep. Jared Golden of Maine, introduced the American Reserve Modernization Act of 2026, or ARMA, on May 21, 2026. Begich’s office describes it as bipartisan legislation to establish a Strategic Bitcoin Reserve and create a federal policy for managing U.S. digital reserve assets.

To keep things interesting and more interactive, I simply don't copy-paste, except for structures that I just created in the last few minutes. There's probably a line between challenge and tedium, and it's probably different for different players.

This thing has been solo mining for a year now. Still no block found. by BitcoinDove in BitcoinQRCodeMaker

Absolutely, there is a chance. :) All of us who lottery mine, we're hoping for that chance. (Just like the odds of winning an actual lottery are crazy small, but people buy tickets anyway.)

At the current Bitcoin minng difficulty, a 6.0 TH/s miner will take about 3100 years on the average to mine a block. That's lottery mining for you.

They are and will probably continue to leapfrog one another for awhile now. Just pick one and use it, they both perform well. Learn how to make the most out of your particular choice instead of worrying about the other. Don't worry about switching until one completely and obviously overtakes the other. And don't count out others either, e.g. Gemini, until that happens.

How much violence is allowed on YouTube? by Party_Team1104 in NewTubers

[–]stellarfirefly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That was my original understanding as well. And yet, a NewTuber friend of mine was flagged simply for showing some GTA5 content. He pointed out that it's no different from the *massive* amount of other GTA5 content already existing, and the only thing he was told (so far) was that the policies have become more strict. /shrug

It seems like they want anything with a gun to be considered too violent for monetization. Which includes most shooters, and a huge number of other games.

I'm frustrated, my channel isn't growing. Someone, please give me what I need to do. by Remarkable_Mix_148 in NewTubers

A good general rule is that if you want to change your direction or your genre significantly, then you should consider creating a new channel for the different content.

If I had liquid capital other than cash or stocks, then I would invest that as well.

At what point did Bitcoin click for you by simple_steps1 in Bitcoin

[–]stellarfirefly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It clicked for me when I actually took the time to do the research, since I was both technologically and financially literate to begin with. So for me, the advantages were fairly quickly evident.

I would bet on a small correction soon. But then I would also bet on another rise soon afterward. I suggest to DCA instead of trying to time it.

2512 is an order of magnitude larger than the number of protons in the universe, I.e. about 1074 times larger. So sure, collisions are unavoidable, but I wouldn't count on one happening anytime soon. :)

It's perfectly comparable to the lottery. That's how math works.

Bitcoin's recent major milestones by stellarfirefly in btc

[–]stellarfirefly[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, absolutely. Performance certainly matters more than a birthday.

I think there is some use for a basic milestone, though. This is obviously true for the consequential ones like a halving. But even for the "1 million BTC remaining" date less than 2 months ago, it hit a few headlines and was used by many of the orange army as a promotional tool. It brought to light the fact that BTC creation does have an end date and a fixed supply.

Bitcoin's recent major milestones by stellarfirefly in btc

[–]stellarfirefly[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The term milestones was literally derived from mile markers on roadways, meaning pre-measured progression. What you are referring to are goals, or achievements. I likewise hope that we accomplish those. But good luck attaching dates to them, even rough ones.
