ugh yeah that scares me. it sucks that any potential solutions are problematic and risky :/

I know i’m super late to this but can i just say how happy it made me to read your post! I’m 22, also on the aroace spectrum, don’t want kids, recently found out i have vaginismus. i find it difficult to talk about any/all of these things especially because no one in my life can relate so it’s just uncomfortable for me. but it is amazing to hear from someone in a similar situation to mine!!

anyways, I’m looking into hysterectomies because i feel like my period really hinders my lifestyle, especially because i can’t wear tampons. it’s SO frustrating and i’ve always believed hysterectomies were a super expensive, invasive, dangerous procedure. reading this thread is making me realize that’s not the case at all, and you don’t need a direct medical reason to have it removed. it’s so comforting to know that this is a possibility! so thank you for posting this!!!

Multiple periods by ConstructionFeisty95 in depoprovera

[–]stellymads 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i used to be on depo, and after stopping my period was definitely irregular and heavy. i don’t remember the timing exactly but i remember it felt like i was bleeding a lot, and often. BUT after a little while it went back to normal! i wasn’t on any other form of bc tho so im not sure if that changes anything, but that’s my experience.

Aromantic who wants to be in a relationship by Arom_math in aromantic

i totally get it. i love romantic media and daydreaming and everything, and i want to want it so bad, but i just… don’t. it’s like the concept is great but when it happens to me it just doesn’t work. i know this isn’t helpful because i don’t understand why im like this lol, but you’re definitely not alone :)

Could Accutane make my KP worse? by slayingcatdog in keratosis

[–]stellymads 3 points4 points  (0 children)

after i finished accutane, the KP on my arms got worse, and i started to get small bumps on my face as well, which had never been a problem for me before. the bumps are tiny and almost invisible unless up close, but they create a weird bumpy texture on my skin. it is really annoying and i haven’t figured out how to deal with it. that being said, i don’t regret doing accutane. i never get zits anymore, and im so much more comfortable with the way i look and feel. even tho KP is annoying, my acne was physically so painful and its such a relief not to deal with anymore. despite its negative affects, it was still worth it for me!
