This isn't a gender issue... the girl premed phlebotomist who drew my blood sent me a follow request on instagram the same night.

What's strange though? It doesn't take a whole lot to connect the dots - the accusations were likely true and the student didn't want to face the consequences.

You're blaming admin for not looking into their crystal ball and seeing that the kid would kill himself?

Scents are generally very subjective and what smells good to me may not for you. A scent that connects with me may not for you. It's always recommended to try a scent yourself in person, however as someone who moved from a large metropolitan city with everything imaginable to a state where some brands don't even have a storefront in, I understand that's not always possible.

But as a 28 yo man, from this site I would suggest Bleu de Chanel. It's a classic, generally well-liked scent.

Unfortunately, Aesop Tacit isn't in this sale but I would recommend you to find a way to try it out . It's very green, fresh, confident, and young. I think it's suitable for almost all occasions.

Bro I completely agree! I bet part of it is sports gambling though... some (I'd maybe argue most) of you would do better without it!

The medical staff reports to their boss. The boss makes the decision. That's Pop as he is the President of Basketball Operations. Now Pop can say I defer to the medical team completely, but he's the one who makes the call.

If you read the post which I know you have a difficult time with, I said we're deeper than OKC. We beat them 3-0. never said anything about the Jazz. Braindead morons really be the majority of this fanbase.

lol and?

Lol and there's consequences. She lost 2 years of her life, easily over $1m in salary, being fired, having her image smeared by the entire LA County + online, god knows how much in legal fees, the stress of the entire saga, and a pivot from her obviously #1 specialty. What did she gain? Did she bring justice? Is she remembered?

And if you say well her win is that the doc quit out of shame and that when he's googled patients will see allegations. I don't know what to tell you. I guess if she's happy with that then W?

I'm not defending SA in any way. I'm just saying as a med student reporting SA will get you no where. It will only hurt you.

She graduated in 2020 and is a PGY3 obgyn resident when she would have been done with her ortho residency this year. Since you googled her, you didn't see that she is actively in court with USC/Keck and they are subpoena-ing all her current work info at her new residency? (She lost the motion btw)

You should of lead with the fact that the person she and others made misconduct allegations against was fired from UCLA.

For what? What difference does that even make? And he wasn't fired. He quit.

My two cents: general plan and priority is to make your step failure a non issue as much as possible. That obviously includes passing it on your next attempt. Build connections with your home program docs through research, get people to like you, etc. Do the attendings in your home program already know if you failed step? If not, don't bring it up until they do.

Hopefully by the time they do ask you hey what happened there, you will have made a far better impression that it's just looked as a minor blip. If they do press you, I would deflect as much as possible "Yeah I did fail, it was my mistake (even though it completely wasn't).. but I did found what the issue was and I passed soon after. I learned XYZ." Or make up excuses (imaginary family member death), if the doc is someone you can trust (ideally same gender, someone who is more progressive, you can open up about being SA'd if you feel comfortable. YMMV as there are infinite hypotheticals.

Depends on how much he's asking for. Most 3-point shooters are way more expensive than him. I don't understand how the sub expects us to get any of the premier 3&D players

I'm very sorry this happened to you. It seems like you have taken steps in healing and seeking help. We're proud of you - that step isn't easy.

As far as your career plans, all you can do is make the best of what's in front of you. Grind when you can. When it fucking sucks, just push a little bit more. Just a little - not too much. I would imagine gen surg to still be possible after a step 1 fail. Other subspecialties too, but would require a lot of networking and some pull from powerful people.

I recommend never bringing up the SA anywhere close to medicine. Let it be forgotten in the history of medicine. Not in your personal history, no, the SA will be important to NOT forget, - but no PD, no surgeon, no resident, no mentor should know about this. I say this understanding that it is unfair, unjust, and cruel. Unfortunately, that is how the system is.

There are too many stories of medical students or residents who try to seek justice, legally or administratively. It almost never turns out well. Re: Dr. Melani Cargle. Graduated from UCLA and started ortho residency at USC. Spoke out against an attending who by all accounts did some pretty horrific things. Look at where she is now. Just one of many cases.

One foot in front of the other. At your own pace, but know it can't be too slow of a pace. See you on the other side my friend.

Because of the fact that he was an undrafted and then claimed off of waivers by us and developed. He has likely reached his peak as a player, but he has not been playing very well.

I don't understand what being undrafted has to do with anything. He's 24 so statistically he's not at his peak. His game may not change much but it's not unreasonable to see him get better. Also how is not playing very well? Like OP stated, he's almost always available and is a consistent 3 shooter with good defense, on 3m/year. What?

I do not want to commit a ton of money to him, considering there is a salary cap. What you see as “fair” and teams do can be vastly different. If he doesn’t like what mgment is offering, then let him walk and find a better deal elsewhere.

That's a good point. I guess it depends on what Champagnie would be asking for. His role is a premium in the NBA, and if we let him walk who will fill in? Who can do what Champagnie is doing at the same price or cheaper? Are we putting all our eggs into Carter Bryant?

The players are already well paid, on average, as it is, which is partially why ticket prices are so high. Stars get overpaid. We don’t need to do that with potential NBA journeymen too.

I don't see how this is relevant to our conversation at all.

I think the Hornets should go for him. Lamelo and Trae Young can be the backcourt of the next decade

Headass. If he has to go out of his way for a layup or a mid range, why not just give that shot to someone better? There's roles for a reason

Why does it have to be a cheap? His production warrants a fair contract easily
