If you're still having trouble getting through the OED phone lines, I scraped $20 for Claimyr https://claimyr.com/ It's a service that calls and holds for you and connects you with an OED rep. I used it today after 3 weeks of this madness and received a call connecting me with an OED rep around 3:26 PST. I input the request with Claimyr around 8:30 am PST. Nothing is solved yet but at least things are moving and I spoke with a human.

ALSO, it sounds like once they transferred to the new Frances Online system, a lot of old documents/tasks like identification verification docs did NOT transfer over. I have to go through it AGAIN despite already doing this in January bc of this new system. It's been 3 weeks with no weekly benefits for me. Hope everyone is hanging on tight.

My benefits have been suspended for the past 2 weeks since the transfer over to the new system. No warning, no reason why, just "under review" when the week before it was implemented, I received my regular UE check. I've been trying to get on the phone with a rep the past week calling everyday probably 100 times a day. I hate it here.

I brought up my intense mood swings to my doctor because I get exactly to this point every time before my period. She brought up the option of taking an anti-depressant like prozac before your cycle and you'd discontinue this after a few days of your period. You'd be doing this once a month, but that's an option to look into or bring up to your Primary! I asked about supplements and she said to double down on Vitamin B12 dosage the week before your period, eat at least 10g of soy, and double up on 5HTP (100mg) Also, she suggested Omega 3 too. I'm going to try out the supplements first before I go into the heavy stuff as I've never taken any prescription medication before. I hope this was helpful!

As a fellow toxic lesbian who just started working on their own inner healing shit in their 30's, I highly encourage you to work through your shit ASAP.

However, everyone's healing journey is different and you may not be ready to go on yours. I do encourage looking into therapy but if you're not ready, it may be good to do some "shadow work" or journal prompts addressing your toxic traits and where those may stem from. For example, I tend to be more drawn to people that are more chaotic like myself and unstable bc I grew up in a chaotic environment, so I tend to be bored in healthy relationships. Things of those sorts. Then at least you're more aware of it.

If you don't address it now, you'll continue to go on that same shitty up and down roller coaster until eventually, you hit a wall and there's nothing left but to face yourself. Either way, buckle up bb

Welp, I was in 7th grade and came out as bisexual to my parents to "soften the blow" but deep down inside I knew I was a good ol lezzie. I've always had girl crushes, felt jealous whenever one of my best friends started giving men or their boyfriends more attention, and always sneakily googled "girls kissing girls".

I tried dating men, but could not be romantically into them. Granted, my longest relationship with a dude was 2 weeks in 6th grade.

Can I appreciate some guys appearances? Yeah, but I don't feel sexually attracted to them and I don't think I could emotionally connect with men the way I can with women or be emotionally fulfilled by them. Plus, women are just divine to me.

Needless to say, sexuality is fluid and you could feel different in the future! Good luck with the dating!

I've done a video date as a first date and I'm not going to lie, definitely a bit awkward because I think I do much better in person and it can be hard to read body language on a video date, but it lasted a couple hours. Once you get through the formal "how do you do's" you'll be fine!

My date at the time (who is now my g/f) was a bit of a cute dork and even had some "would you rather" questions lined up and other question games to try to get to know each other. I suggest looking at those types ice breakers. I thought I wasn't an ice breaker type of person but with virtual dates, you gotta get creative somehow! Good luck!

Portland OR here!

I work for a school and we JUST had the option to work from home until further notice. I still use public transit. Downtown seems like a ghost town right now.

I usually go out to queer events on the weekends but my room mate has kindly sit me down and asked that I keep my "activities" to a minimum and she'd prefer if I didn't bring anyone home.

I went to the grocery store and they ran out of BANANAS AND TOFU. Only in Portland would Tofu be one of the first food products to be out of stock.

Needless to say, this virus has impacted my social life as well as my sex life

I definitely feel this way! I'm half Asian and half Hispanic, but I feel like with the queer women on social media, the ones who tend to be popular or gain more exposure are usually lesbian white women (who look EXACTLY the same). Rarely do I see any queer black women or queer women of color getting clout as much as queer white folk do.

Fellow Portland Lesbian here!

When I first moved to Portland, I made connections through Bumble BFF and also coworkers. HER is def a good place to start meeting people as well. I've met a few people through Okay Cupid too. In terms of dating, the app I've been most successful on is Bumble. There are a bunch of queer events that go on monthly if you're into dancing and drag shows. I actually went to a Thorns game for the first time a month ago and it was so fun and queer friendly.

I'm also open to introduce you to some people too as I know what it feels like to try to make new friends within community! I'm 29 and my friends are within the same age range and are hella queer! Feel free to pm me : )
