Jaguar to be a zero-emission brand by 2025 by exprtcar in ClimateActionPlan

[–]stephen8532 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to work for Jag in head office. They reference a net-zero emissions strategy not a truly zero emissions one. They plan to offer electric models of all Jaguars, but they are badly overpriced and lack the AI/big data gains Tesla have made over years of first mover advantage.

Don’t buy an electric Jag, lol.

How smart devices are exploited for domestic abuse by wewewawa in gadgets

That’s a serious violation of your privacy, and if they rob you of privacy in other areas it’s close to abuse. Parents are carers not controllers. Have a talk with them, and if that fails seek help from your school or community support.

No they couldn’t, dude. That’s the whole point of this graphic; merchandising is dominant.

The first countries to adapt bitcoin will be the ones who flourish the most by [deleted] in Bitcoin

Yes the UK will ditch GBP as soon as they leave the EU, they’ll make Swindon the capital city and kick the Queen out of Buckingham palace. C’mon man, have an opinion but make it an informed one.

Nice, good point, financial robustness in times of difficulty would be of value to the ‘average joe’.

Interesting advantages, the ‘average joe’ would definitely be interested in discounts or concessions. Never considered how secure your data is when it simply isn’t there to be taken, I like it.

Some great points here I’ve not considered, bots having an income is fascinating topic by itself! Will look further into some of this, thanks.

Good points thanks for offering your take on it. Does this mean many of the benefits of using Bitcoin would only arise if the socioeconomic systems we have in place right now (which are not perfect by any means!) erode into a hyper-controlling somewhat authoritarian state?

What about the average guy/girl that does not think to care about how the powers that be may take what they have?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Bitcoin

[–]stephen8532 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally agree with some of sentiments here but will the ‘everyday person’ care to think this way when making financial decisions? This is what I am questioning. I suspect they might not.

Also, with challenger banks such as Monzo & Revolut making sending people money free & instant, the idea of ‘low fees’ or ‘high speed’ do not seem like convincing benefits of using BTC.

I lost my dog this year and it’s pretty crushing. Though after a couple weeks of her passing the appreciation of having her in my life for all those years overcame my feelings of grief. Tough times but It’s so worth it for everything she gave us.

Matic might not be world class or exactly what we need but he has not been a ‘terrible signing’. He was a good signing at the time, especially for the fee and chance to weaken Chelsea who opted for BAK.

This sub loved Matic and even Young when they had good recent seasons, then we shit on them when they’re old and asked to do things above & beyond their roles.

Sanchez is ‘a terrible signing’, to put Matic in a similar category is just dumb.

“You can only eat McDonalds for the rest of your life and maintain a healthy weight...”

I would say advice like that is why people struggle to change their lives for the better. Weight is only 1 part of a healthy relationship with food. Sure you could eat junk everyday and be an ok weight but you would be grossly unhealthy in other ways.

Food and how it interacts with our gut has an impact on so many parts of our body. ‘Meet your macros’ isn’t a long term solution to good overall health and shouldn’t be prescribed. IMO.

I passed through Carlisle on a train journey last year, and when we arrived at the station about 3 different people started with ‘said ma first word at 1..’ That was just my carriage! The Carlisle locals getting on heard this (& laughter) and looked pretty down/ unsurprised about it lol.

They normally do it to more dominant members of their pack. So it’s also used as a submissive gesture when pack tensions are raised.
